I swear, with that line alone, I wonder if TV Land is doing this to cheese off the more dedicated viewers. I could stand to never see some of these movies AGAIN. Ever.

As for the status of The Munsters, you'll have to read the blog:

Ugh. Is there any way we can convince TV Land that if they INSIST on playing movies on Friday nights, that they should at least play TELEVISION related movies? After all, that is what the "TV" in "TV Land" stands for, no?
It would be a perfect opportunity to air movies like 'Munster Go Home,' or 'I Dream Of Jeannie: 15 Years Later'... movies like that. No one needs to see 'Lethal Weapon 2' for the 47th time. |

TheLink says that The Munsters won't be renewed at the end of October, neither will Happy Days and MacGyver at the end of December. He did say the other day though that That Girl will have a 48-hour marathon in December and be airing ON AIR though, which is good.

I agree. Or at least old TV movies. What's the point of watching a watered-down edited version of Lethal Weapon 2 when I can just catch either a much less tampered with version on another network or buy the movie on DVD?

I haven't seen That Girl in a long time so it will be good to see it again but I will miss MacGyver when it goes off the air and Happy Days as well. |

I agree One-Hundred Percent! That's exactly what TV Land needs to show, the reunion movies of classic TV series. And I don't mean like "The Facts of Life" reunion, which ABC Family shows every year, but like the rare ones. Like the two you mentioned or the Green Acres reunion and others. I hate when any movie is on TV, because that's not the correct medium for Movies. Television is for television shows. Movies are for the theater or for VHS and/or DVD copies. But not to be chopped up, censored and interrupted to fit in commercials. With all the TV shows in the USA that aren't on right now, we don't need chopped up movies to crowd up our cable.

It's Official. TV Land has JUMPED THE SHARK! It's been coming within the past year or so. But it is official now. |

I can say that I won't be watching any of the movies that TV Land will be airing on Friday nights. If I wanted to watch a movie, I would either get it on DVD or watch it on a movie channel that doesn't hack it into pieces when it airs.
