Default TV Land?

Is that still on? I gave up on that when they killed off Mannix, Barnaby Jones and many other cool 70's shows.

Why couldn't they schedule shows as such:

Sundays & Wednesdays: Only '50's shows
Mondays & Thursdays: Only '60's shows
Tuesdays & Fridays: Only '70's shows
Saturdays: Only '80's shows

or, how about this:

Everyday:
12:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.: Only '50's shows
6:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Only '60's shows
12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.: Only '70's shows
6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.: Only '80's shows

Less product but more variety - Something for everyone.

Oh well, they had a decent schedule for a few weeks at least. So no more Green Acres in the evenings? That's strange, considering that they've just renewed it. I'm totally baffled by Little House on the Prairie at 7 AND 8pm - I really don't see that working too well.

Horrible changes.

No, no more Green Acres in the evenings. September will have to be edited a bit now.
Maybe something like this:
5PM Good Times
5:30PM The Jeffersons
I see 6-8PM remaining the same (Beaver/TAGS/LHOTP)

They can only air LHOTP between 7pm-7am. Hallmark has the rights to air it 7am-7pm.

As for the early morning block in Sept., I could see them keeping what they had before.

These changes are NOT good for me. I have been watching Leave it to Beaver at 7PM on weekdays, there is no way I can see it at 6PM. I know that 6PM hour isn't doing well, but its more than likely because its supper/family/getting-home-from-work time. Maybe if they aired yet another Gunsmoke or Bonanaza there, then it would gain viewers (since Pavan says they do real well).

Why Murphy Brown (it did bad on N@N). I would rather see something really good like I Love Lucy on a Saturday night, that would be a great night.

I think they want to test Murphy. They had planned on it and I guess they finally are testing it.

I don't know. It could just be for these last 6 weeks of the summer. If TV Land adds it in September it'll be between 3-6am or maybe a long shot, somewhere between 12-2pm.

Well, I for one am thrilled to see Murphy on TV Land. Now that it's on a network not dominated by Fresh Prince and Roseanne, maybe now it'll have a chance.

Yeah, I realise how likely that last sentence is. But so help me, I know I'll be watching, and I wasn't watching that slot before, so it's a definite plus for me.

I honestly think The Munsters and Green Acres failed in their timeslots from 6-7 because of, like someone else said, the time. People are eating dinner, or outside considering it's summertime, etc. I think it would be interesting if they tried re-working it like this:

5:00PM Good Times
5:30PM Good Times
6:00PM Leave it to Beaver
6:30PM The Andy Griffith Show
7:00PM Little House on the Prairie
8:00PM The Munsters
8:30PM Green Acres
9:00PM The Andy Griffith Show
9:30PM Leave it to Beaver
10:00PM Sanford and Son
10:30PM Good Times
11:00PM Three's Company
11:30PM Three's Company

With TV Land though, who knows...they'll probably have something different a month from now.

I think it's kind of neat that "Murphy Brown" will be on TV Land for a while. I mean, The Munsters has been on TV Land for years now and both seasons are out on DVD. Since MB is getting the shaft on DVD, I think the fans need it on in reruns at a decent time.

I'm not crazy about the Little House on the Prarie block. But I hardly ever, if ever, watch TV Land anymore so I won't notice.
