ON SCREEN ENTERTAINMENT AND TONYA LEWIS LEE TO CREATE THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!, A UNIQUE THREE-PART SPECIAL IN CELEBRATION OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH Special Slated for February 2006 Features Spirited Debates About Black Pop Culture and Entertainment Santa Monica, CA, October 5, 2005 - TV Land has reached a production deal with On Screen Entertainment and Tonya Lewis Lee to produce a three-part special celebrating famous African Americans and their influence on pop culture entitled That's What I'm Talkin' About. TV Land will showcase the special in February in support of Black History Month. Produced by On Screen Entertainment's Nikki Silver and Orly Wiseman (Miracle's Boys and Reading Rainbow) and Tonya Lewis Lee (Miracle's Boys and I Sit Where I Want: The Legacy of Brown v. Board of Education), That's What I'm Talkin' About will feature a variety of Hollywood notables and others as they debate the contributions that various African Americans have made to pop culture in a lively roundtable discussion. The series will also feature clips and images from dozens of iconic characters, television shows, movies and other forms of entertainment as panelists try to prove their case in a fast-paced, rapid fire exchange. "TV Land is honored to enlist this highly talented production team of Tonya Lewis Lee, Nikki Silver and Orly Wiseman to create this groundbreaking series about the contributions African Americans have made to the world of entertainment," explains Mitch Semel, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, TV Land and Nick at Nite. "Our goal is to create innovative programming about the black experience on television that viewers will find fun and entertaining and this production team is the perfect partner to help us achieve that goal." "I am thrilled to be working again with On Screen Entertainment and our new partner TV Land on this series of shows which honors the contributions of black entertainers and icons in a smart and engaging way," expressed Executive Producer Tonya Lewis Lee. That's What I'm Talkin' About is poised to be a lively repartee in which panelists toss out opinions, anecdotes and nominations for their top choices on several trends, people, programs, fashion and music. Led by a panel moderator, each installment will tackle several fun groupings of topics such as "Movers, Shakers and Stylemakers" - covering everything from the growing popularity of athletes, to America's obsession with "the red carpet" - and "Mates, Dates and Greats" - covering everything from relationships of couples both on-and off-screen to the "best of" moments from a variety of topics. About On Screen Entertainment On Screen Entertainment creates, develops and produces quality programming for the entire family. The company is jointly run by multiple Emmy Award-winning producers Nikki Silver and Orly Wiseman. Most recently the company produced the critically acclaimed "Miracle's Boys," a dramatic mini-series for teens which aired on MTV's The N Network. In addition they have produced Reading Rainbow a multi-award winning children's series on PBS which has won 24 Emmys in 20 years. On Screen has an impressive library of television series and development properties including What's Going ON?, a 10-part documentary series airing on Showtime, Outward Bound (Discovery Kids) and The Zack Files (re-airing on Showtime Family Zone). The company is currently in development on the feature film adaptation of Lois Lowry's Newbery-award winning The Giver produced with Jeff Bridges and Walden Media. About Tonya Lewis Lee Tonya Lewis Lee, Esq. is the executive producer of The N's 2005 critically acclaimed mini-series Miracle's Boys. In 2005, Lee is also releasing her new children's book Please Puppy Please, a follow-up to the 2002 book she co-authored with her husband, Spike Lee, Please Baby Please. In 2004, Lee was the executive producer of the documentary film, I Sit Where I Want: The Legacy of Brown v. Board of Education for Noggin/ The N which received Beacon and Parent's Choice Awards. 2004 also saw the release of Mrs. Lee's first novel, the national bestseller, Gotham Diaries. Outspoken on the issue of women and race, Lee has written for magazines such as Glamour and O at Home.
