Movie Halloween 2017 New Title Announcements

From the SCREAM Factory's Facebook

** EXCLUSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT **

We've always made a point in the past to announce new upcoming titles on this date and we're doing the same today.

Games (1967)

First up is the cunning psychological film Games from 1967 and directed by Curtis Harrington (What’s the Matter with Helen?, Who Slew Auntie Roo?).

James Caan, Katharine Ross, and Simone Signoret star.

Paul (Caan) and Jennifer (Ross) are a pair of wealthy Upper East Side socialites who like to amuse themselves by playing twisted and occasionally sadistic mind games. But when a mysterious woman (Signoret) shows up at their door and begins to exhibit uncanny psychic abilities, the rules change … and the stakes become higher – and deadlier – than ever before.

All-new HD transfer is planned.

National street date is February 13th. However, you can pre-order now directly through us and have the item ship two weeks early!

Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970)

Up next is the 1970 sci-fi thriller Colossus: The Forbin Project from 1970!

First time on Blu-ray in the U.S. & Canada and stars Eric Braeden (Y&R) and Susan Clark (Porky’s).

The ultimate computer creates the ultimate terror in this chillingly real suspense tale. When electronics genius Charles Forbin creates a massive computer complex that is capable of independently regulating the national defense of the United States, it appears that no enemy will ever be able to penetrate its sovereign borders.

But such a promising thought turns into a stunning nightmare when it's discovered the Russians have built an equally sophisticated computer and that these two "doomsday machines" have linked, sharing classified information and top secrets. Desperately, Forbin and his Soviet counterparts try to stop the all-knowing "monster" computers from seizing command of the world's nuclear missile stockpiles.

National street date is February 27th and extras are in progress.

Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Taylor, re-teaming for their first film following their divorce, star in this intense thriller about a wealthy widow who is haunted by her husband and seduced by a handsome stranger – all in her dreams.

Following the death of her millionaire husband, Howard (Hayden Rorke), Irene Trent (Stanwyck) endures dreams so real and terrifying, that she finds herself trapped in an eerie world existing between fact and fantasy. Isolated from the world by her husband's possessive nature, Irene feels there is no one she can turn to except for his personal attorney (Taylor), the only visitor Howard ever allowed to the house.

But even as her dreams begin to take vivid shape, Irene begins to walk into a very real nightmare of deception, murder and betrayal.
