The New York Post has an interview with her husband
, who said that she had been having a sore throat that wouldn't go away. She woke up one morning in November, and there was a small spot of blood on her pillowcase (the size of a dime). She assumed she'd bitten her cheek. A week or two later t happened again, her husband checked her throat and said it looked as though she had tonsillitis. she was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma and put on immediate chemo and radiation simultaneously.
On the day she died
, she was resting in bed watching TV and just stopped breathing.
