Funny they are advertising him on the Tonight Show as an actor. I figured he would be listed as a stand up comic?

Kaplan got really popular, before Kotter, on Tonight and other talk shows. The material was largely sweathog stuff that eventually turned into Kotter. Not quite as intense a rise as Freddie Prinz, but a similar story.
