TV MyNetworkTV December Holiday Programming

MyNetworkTV has skedded the following mix of new and encore programming for their December Christmas-New Year's Holiday schedule.

ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING

The following new programs are skedded for December:

Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? (Tuesdays 8 & 8:30 pm)

'Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?' on MyNetworkTV during December will feature brand new episodes featuring celebrities and guest stars drawn from the sports and entertainment worlds such as race-car drivers Mr. Kurt Busch and Mr. Carl Edwards (NAScar focus on December 1st), soap stars Mr. Tuc Watkins and Miss Gloria Loring (daytime melodrama tribute December 15th) .

'Deal or No Deal' (Tuesdays 9 & 9:30 pm)

'Deal or No Deal' on MyNetworkTV during December will feature a brand new episode at 9:00 pm, followed by an encore at 9:30 pm.

MyThursdayNightMovie (Thursdays 8-10 pm)

The MyNetworkTV lineup of movies in December will feature the following encore titles:
  • December 3rd: 'HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS' starring Miss Holly Hunter and Mr. Robert Downey Jr..
  • November 5th: 'NOWHERE TO RUN' starring Mr. Jean-Claude Van Damme, Miss Rosanna Arquette, and Mr. Kieran Culkin.

'WWE Friday Night Smackdown' (Fridays 8-10 pm)

'WWE Friday Night Smackdown' will be new every Friday throughout December. Based on ratings from the first six episodes of the 2009-10 season, 'WWE Friday Night Smackdown' is up a bit from the first five episodes last season when it made its debut on MyNetworkTV:
  • 'WWE Smackdown' 2009-10 Season (Sep.25-Oct.30/09, 6 airings): 2.0HH/4%, 1.12 A18-49, 3,418,000 P2+ viewers (A18-49 rankings: 2 second place finishes, 3 third-places, and 1 fifth-place).
  • 'WWE Smackdown' 2008-09 Season (0ct.3-Oct.31/08, 5 airings): 2.0HH/4%, 1.10 A18-49, 3,304,000 P2+ viewers (A18-49 rankings: 1 fourth-place and 4 fifth-place finishes).
  • Households steady, A18-49 +2%, P2+ viewers +3%


ENCORE SERIES PROGRAMMING

'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' (Mondays 8 & 9 pm) & 'The Unit' (Wednesdays 8 & 9 pm) Encores

Both of MyNetworkTV's classic encore series in December will continue with first season episodes of 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' and second season episodes of 'The Unit', both run in order of original air-dates.

SPECIAL PROGRAMMING

MyNetworkTV has skedded three specials during December, all pre-empting the 'My Thursday Night Movie' series:
  • December 10th: '2009 Hollywood Christmas Parade' - According to MyNetworkTV, for the first time in over 80 years the Hollywood Christmas Parade will air nationally as a two-hour television, primetime event. The holiday festivities will include celebrities from film, television and stage including the 2009 Grand Marshal, Miss Susan Lucci, star of the ABC daytime melodrama 'All My Children'. To help usher in the holidays, elaborate floats, award winning bands, colorful equestrians, join Santa Claus down the Tinsletown parade route.
  • December 17th: '2009 World Magic Awards' (ENCORE) - MyNetworkTV encores this year’s spectacular, two-hour awards presentation (OAD November 19th) which brings together the world’s top magicians in what will surely big a big audience draw. Showcasing some of today’s best illusionists, escape artists and sleight-of-hand masters, the television event includes 14 heart-stopping performances. The awards will be given out in over a dozen separate categories including Best Escape Artist, Best Contemporary Magic, Best Teen Magician, Best Duo Cabaret Magic, Best Cabaret Male Magic, Best Cabaret Female Magic, Best Comedy Magic, Best Comedy Illusionist, Best Illusionist, Best Stage Magician, Best International Stage Magician, and Magician of the Year. Appearances and performances by Mr. Franz Harary, Mr. Lance Burton, Mr. Ed Alonzo, Katalin, Barry & Stuart, Morgan, Mr. Greg Frewin, Mr. Tommy Wind, The Twins and many more.
  • December 24th: '2009 Hollywood Christmas Parade' (ENCORE).

All MyNetworkTV series, movie and special presentations are broadcast in High Definition.
