I read it on the official WB site, they are pulling the plug on Angel.

Hate to say it, but I actually don't blame them, I think the show could've and possibly should've ended at the end of last season alongside Buffy

party:  It's about time. I hope UPN doesn't pick it up. That would suck. Looks like Sarah wont get to play Buffy at all now :santa:

Much as I hate to say it, I'm glad to see this one go. This past season has been a definite decline -- and killing off Cordy did NOT help.

I agree, killing Cordy was the last straw IMO.

Anyways, 5 years is still a very good run, especially considering the series never captured the ratings that Buffy had in it's prime ratings-wise (seasons 2-4). The fact that it still lasted a season after it's parent series ended speaks volumes about Joss Whedon's talent and creativity. However, I feel like Angel has been walking around like a headless chicken this season without Buffy episodes also airing the same week.

WB said that they are in talks of doing 2 Angel tv movies next season. Would be nice, but I would much rather see a Buffy tv movie.

I have a friend who keeps saying "the era of Buffy's now over :(" and I keep reassuring him that... IT ENDED MAY 20TH LAST YEAR!! I always watched Angel, but to me, it just was never as good as Buffy was. Wolfram And Hart was never as fun as Glory, The Mayor, The Master or hell, even the Nerd Trio.

Buffy IMO was the greatest series ever to air IMO, I have seen some episodes 15 times and I'm still not sick of them. Angel, while has been watchable, IMO has never come close to the quality of it's parent series. Though I will confess that I enjoyed season 4 of Angel as a whole better than Buffy's season 7 (which I think was probably it's worst season).

Thank god for DVD's, Buffy will live forever in our hearts.

yes, but what does SMG pursuing a film career have to do with Angel getting cancelled? she hasn't appeared on Angel since season 1.

I think cordy got killed off the show due to having a son in real life, with her wanting to be with her family more. I am not sure if the timing of her pregancy with the show. I did realize she was getting bigger when she was preg with the goddess on the show. When she came back to help Angel then him getting the ph call saying she never woke up she was still a bit bigger than b4. ( Hell I'd like to lose weight that fast after having a kid, I'm still struggling and my girl is 3.) Charisma seemed to be more toned and skinny in Charmed when she guest appeared, compaired to the beginning of Angel. I never watch buffy much so I wouldnt know much about it. I got hooked on Angel when on TNT back to back with Charmed.

Well [I]i'm[I] upset they ended Angel. It was a great show about Angel (My favorite character). Even though it wasn't as good as Buffy it was still worth my time. I agree, the Wolfram and Hart thing was weak, i think that was pretty much why i thought made everything go downhill. In all the seasons the only main big bad was Wolfram and Hart: it gets boring. i liked pretty much all the characters, all the time (as in Buffy i was on and off about the characters, except Spike).
