American Idol's first 8 of 32...

So what did you think? Here are my thoughts:

Erskine Walcott- I really like him and I would hope to see him stick around but i don't think hes gonna make it.

Jennifer Hudson- I just don't like her voice.

Ashley Thomas-I didn't think she was that bad, but when I think about it there are better singers

Diana DeGarmo- She did really good. She didn't have a great performance but her song was good.

Matthew Metzger- I like him but not for American Idol, he sounds like something the goo goo dolls would sing. He should sing for a band

Fantasia Barrino-I don't like her, but I have no doubt she'll make the top 12. She does sound like Macy Gray and I don't like Macy Gray.

Marque Lynche-His voice isn't strong enough.

Katie Webber -I think she had the best performance


I'm not voting this week. I'll wait for John Stevens to vote.

Fantasia is an A in my book, :) because she's obviously a star, yet i dont like Macy Gray either :lol: But i think she's trying to step away from being compared to Macy Gray (according to her video thingy)

At first, I was thinking Diana, but then Matt caught my attention, and I voted for him. You don't always have to have that power voice to be a star...certainly not. He's got a rock voice, and I like it. :nod:

I'm all about Diana and Katie :D :D I'm scared for tomorrow though. Katie definitely sounded way better tonight than from her audition.

I don't know. I can't picture Fantasia winning american Idol. I just don't like her.

I thought she was pretty good. I think she's a "love-hate" kind of person.. she has that uniqueness, that you either love or you dont like at all. And for some reason, i think that the people that loved her, might of assumed that she would move on, so they might've voted for other people. For some reason i think that there will be a "shocker" where she will not move on (Kind of like Kim Caldwell in last year's group 1)
