It was a tearful ending for the series which captured the hearts of single women everywhere.

Sarah Jessica Parker broke down yesterday after filming her final scene for Sex And The City.

The actress, who played columnist Carrie Bradshaw, sobbed loudly as co-star Kristin Davis gave her a comforting hug.

Parker, who was also a producer on the show, had just been filmed walking through Manhattan with Davis and their co-stars Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon.

'Sarah just could not contain herself,' said an onlooker. 'Although it was a team effort, everyone has always thought of it being ultimately her show.'

I've been reading that the entire cast, particulary Sarah, took the last month pretty bad. Those pictures tell the story. It must sad. They get close, both cast and crew.

i couldn't let something go if it was going to make me so upset but then again always go out on a bang rather than a wimper which is the advice 'Friends' should have taken.
