Does anyone know why??? To the person who called Paramount and said they are cancelling, is there anything that the person told you?
I wrote to CBS weeks ago about it, but no answer.
From Monday nights to Sundays, the ratings dropped from 15.8 to 10.6 average!! That's appaling. They took it off a very successful timeslot and placed it on a crappy night, the ratings fell, so they blamed the show itself. Wednesdays after King of Queens is better but nothing like Mondays.
Why would they want to cancel Becker? it's far better than the other bull**** "comedy" on television.

Becker lasted way too many seasons. It should have ended in 2002 and never moved to Sunday Nights where they tried it with Bram and Alice, Big Fat Greek Life and repeats of Yes Dear. Becker was originally only suppose to come back for a limited number of episodes this spring and was being replaced by the new comedy The Stones, but CBS did not like the show and knew it would be an early cancellation, so CBS thought the combination of King of Queens and Becker on Wednesday Nights could draw well.
Becker has run its course. I say give it a good send off in April before May sweeps.

Don't tell me it has just run its course.
Series do last longer, like Frasier and Friends. No Friends fan could tell you that Becker lasted too long without being a damn hypocrite, so I want something better than that.

CBS is cancelling AGAIN, because of the fact that they honest to God don't give a damn about the show anymore. I mean ONLY advertise it maybe 3 times week tops. and, the fact that Saverio guerrea left the show has made the show drop another points down the scale of "Best Shows to keep", according to Les mOonves. And mainley because CBS DOESN'T CARE ABOUT IT. Everybody does know that CBS started pulling all this sh** when they fired Terry Farrell. Right?
I personally think this show deserves 9 more epsoides since this the last season.

I'm thinking about calling Paramount. CALLING. Not writing. That doesn't work. I heard on this board that there is still a chance the series (Becker) can still survive next season.
Hopefully. Becker is much better than the rest of the garbage they pass as comedy. Has anybody seen Whoppi? That is such crap! They like insult each other and use cliches. You can honestly sit there and not laugh. And they make jokes about terrorists sometimes and made fun of Bush and it's supposed to be funny. They totally hit the wrong note, and by that I mean NBC.
CBS is the best of the three major networks, yet CBS itself even screws up sometimes. I'd rather endorse CBS than NBC - that network is losing it. But I'm going off topic here.

I just hate the fact the show can not at least finish out the 6th season and run through May. The show was great from 98-02 and while it is obvious it may be on it's last leg, it is still MUCH better than the other options on primetime.

I didn't say I stopped watching it since Terry Farrell left. I'll still watch little parts every now and then, mostly if there's nothing else on.
