Have you ever read this book?

http://i13.ebayimg.com/01/i/01/36/15/95_1.JPG

It was published in 1986, so it's a pretty old book, but I got the chance to read it last summer and I really enjoyed it.

It's such a trip looking at my old yearbooks. I was looking at my 1984 yearbook an hour ago, and I was looking at the section where they have all the pop culture stuff and the major news from that school year...I was reading the news of 1984, and one of them was about the Challenger and Columbia shuttles...That REALLY gave me the goosebumps to think that little did we know that the Challenger shuttle would explode less than two years later, and that the Columbia shuttle would follow 17 years after the Challenger. And there was also a bit about the major riots over the Cabbage Patch Kid dolls... And there was one page that was practically dedicated to Michael Jackson, because he won so much awards in music that year.

You practically put me right back in that year mentioning all of that. You couldn't get away from Michael Jackson if you tried. My friends and I sang along to all of his songs, talked about his Thriller video at school, had him on our folders, watched him on the VMAs, etc. Yeah, it was pretty scary when I think back to how much our parents went through to get us those dolls.

And how heartbreaking it was to watch the Challenger explode in mid-air, live on television that morning. :(

$4 for the mag...That's not too bad...I mailed a mag the other week and it was $2 to mail it 1st class. $1 for the buttons I want. The only complaint I have is withi the $6 for the picture I want...but when you consider the fact it's a press kit picture (rare), then it'll be worth it. :D

Have you ever had a moment where someone says something to you and you either wish you hadn't done the thing to warrant what the person said or that you wish you didn't think it was really said? I'm having one of those moments right now. I don't want to go in specifics because I'm trying to push it to the back of my mind. I just feel embarassed.

Oh, wow. It is kinda big, but's still moveable.

Yep, it's on wheels. I can always turn it off, tho, but since it's winter and the air around here is dry, it needs to stay on..I can live with that.

LOL... I guess you have no choice then. BTW, I'm so disappointed that Jamie Lee Curtis didn't win for Best Actress at the Globes.

I only caught the Best Supporting Actor part...I wanted Sean Hayes to win, but he didn't. :crying:

Apparently I have to. My idiot public speaking teacher told my class we ABSOLUTELY MUST have a college email address because she'll email us our assignments. How lame.
