Oh Sonny, you are so right about that. Having the Cowboys and Texans go head to head like that... I'd love it! :D

I'm really proud of our team, seeing how far they've gotten. They're only 2 years old but look at 'em. Even though the Oilers moved away and they're missed, it's great to see them doing well out there.

Don't tell anybody but I used to root for the Oilers during the Earl Campbell days. They were my 2nd favorite team after the Cowboys. I even rooted for them some when Warren Moon was their qb.

Your secret's safe with me, Sonny. ;)

That's awesome! I remember seeing Luv Ya Blue all over the place when I was a kid, and how popular Earl Campbell was. Used to have a few of those stickers, too. He's still living here in Texas, and I heard he's teaching in Austin.

Yep. The '95 remake was Disney-made, just right before Disney went down the tubes, so it's actually a pretty good movie. Andrew Keegan was in it, too. I remember they used to show that on Disney years ago...I should get it on DVD. :D

Me too...I had my hair cut REALLY short in January of 2000...I got trims through May of that year...then I let it grow out...it was covering my ears by the time school ended in May of 2001...then just long enough for me to pull back my hair but to leave my bangs down when school started that fall...by the time I started school again in 2002, I could pull everything back...

That should tell you something about how slowly my hair grows. But I think it's faster now.

Yeah, but take a deep breath...it won't make your problems go away, but it'll clear your head a bit

What year math? Most of the time, in college, you have to take a semester of math...so it's not quite over yet...but after that semester, you're pretty much good to go. I'm taking intermediate algebra right now (you have to have taken Algebra 1 in HS to take that class) in college...for college algebra, you should have taken up to algebra 2. :barf:

Butt-length hair...That's something I"ll NEVER do.

I always use conditioner, too. :D

I knew a girl who didn't cut her hair from about 1990 to 1998-99ish. No, I'm not kidding. She had long hair down to her butt, then it quit growing, and she had HORRID split ends that made me want to vomit. Finally, after years of us kids pestering her, she got a haircut and she went from butt-length to shoulder-length...We couldn't stop complimenting her hair for months afterwards.

 Don't do it! Having my hair that long was fun but it wasn't without headaches.

I've never gone that long without getting mine cut, even when it was really long. Thank goodness she finally listened to y'all and chopped it off! And I bet those compliments made it worth it. :)

Good God. For me, I hated pretty much everybody. That's what you get for living in a town of 7000 with an Native American reservation 10 minutes away. Oh yeah, and being in the middle of nowhere. Yep, it was a lot of fun!

There were two girls I really hated that were both in my grade. God. I'll never forget them. They were best friends, looked like each other and dressed alike. Oh, and they acted like MAJOR sluts. And one of the girls got pregnant at the beginning of my senior year. Really good way to graduate -- 9 months pregnant. Great work! I wanted to bitchslap her every time I saw her totally flirting with a boy. See where it got her? Pregnant and a mom at 17. Not my problem. :D

Oh brother. :( My problem was that they all thought they were better than basically everyone else in the school. Like they were little gods or something. "Gee, I could be a human being and give you the time of day but...no."

 I know exactly what you're talking about. Yeah, I saw the same thing happen while I was in high school. And what I always noticed was that there seemed to be a "trend" where a bunch of popular girls all broke their legs at the same time. So they'd wind up coming back one Monday morning wearing casts and having to take the elevator, flirting with this guy or that guy so he'd carry their books. The guys ate it up like there was no looking back. It was ridiculous.

Agreed. I was barely 3 at the time...and I didn't even live there at that time, but it's so sad to think about it...My English teacher from senior year has been teaching HS English since the late 60's/early 70's, and she can recall it really well, because she had kids in high school during that time. When the anniversary rolled around last year, she told us the story about what happened that night. It was so eerie to hear about it from a firsthand view. Hmm, that explains it. I've had my mags in Rubbermaid boxes for years...I think I started in 1999 or 2000? I think it was around the time I had 40-50 mags and had nowhere to put them. So now, 95% of my magazines are in great shape but now the binding's all weird (you know, curvy-like?). They haven't yellowed yet because of the way I stored them...But, my Seventeen mags from 1999 are already starting to look old... :(

Yep...that's what I've always done. THe first few years, I just tossed my mags into an old backpack in my closet...then when the mag pile got too big for my backpack, I started using a Rubbermaid box that stayed in the garage...I went out to the garage every 3 months or so with my armful of mags to toss them in there. It's worked pretty well, and they all survived the move here. :D

 :eek2: Same thing I noticed with my mags...Some of them have stayed the same price for a long time...but some of them really jumped up. I have a few 1995 YM magazines that were $2.50, and now the current YM mags are $4. :(

It's such a trip comparing prices.

OMG. :wallbang

I am so fed up with jennymae! (Over at the MF board) I'm sure she's cool and everything, but goddamnit. SHE'S BUMPING UP TWO- AND THREE-YEARS-OLD THREADS AND SHE'S CONSTANTLY ASKING WHERE SHE CAN OBTAIN TAPES OF MAMA'S FAMILY AND THE TV MOVIE "EUNICE"!!!!! :mumble: Goddamnit. It would HELP to look at the freakin' dates! She bumped back up a thread that was started by a GUEST back in early 2001, and asked about tapes there :wallbang :wallbang

Just start your own thread asking about MF tapes at the MF board or ask at Tape Trading! It's not that hard, don't bump up old threads! They should stay dead, period. Eh, I should start locking threads there so she doesn't get any ideas. DON'T ASK ABOUT THE FREAKING TAPES IN EVERY FREAKING THREAD. IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY.

All her 24 posts so far have been about getting tapes!
