I'm willing to watch it. I hope the rest of the "Friends" cast makes guest appearances on the show.

No way! I never could stand Friends and Joey is my least favorite out of all of them. Chandler is the only Friends character I found funny. He should have his own show.

I think this can work out the way Frasier did from Cheers.

No, but I will record it for archive purposes as I have a feeling it is going to bomb quickly.

I don't like Friends.

My father, however, had a theory (he doesn't like Friends either). He said that Friends, hence the title, was based on the friendships between the characters and one focusing on one single character will flop.

I'll watch it because i like watching new Sitcoms to see if they'll last. but like a poster said before Chandler was the only one I found funny everyone else was blah...

Oh really Then how do you explain the tv show Fraizer lasting 11 years?

It will be wierd watching Joey instead of the other five together with him!!

Since when does a show's popularity automatically make it good?

I don't plan on watching Joey.

I'm interested to watch the show... but I have a feeling it won't last too long b/c a lot of people are already so skeptical about it and it hasn't even begun...

I think the comedy of the other Friends characters depend on each other a little bit too... Plus, no one really wants to let "Friends" go... you can't mess with a good thing...

I will definitely be watching. Friends is my all-time favorite show...well, along with SBTB. hehe :D

that is true, but I do like Friends, and I kinda agree with JoeyLova, I prefer Friends to some of the shows that the "Friends bashers" in here champion. For example, The Wonder Years and Married With Children

Friends may be the most popular show (at this time), but it certainly isn't the best show ever created. Besides, I pass for Friends and it's spin-off, Joey. Both shows don't sound or look interesting to me.

The promos I've seen have made me laugh. Ergo, I'll give it a shot. If any character from Friends can pull off their own show, it's Joey.

NBC recently showed the entire pilot to the advertizers when they unveiled thier Fall schedule, (which is something that the networks rarely do, which means NBC really likes the show) and it got a lot of praise from the people who saw it.

I think it will be a hit. The trailer they showed during the "Friends" finale was funny.

Will it be a long running hit like "Friends?" No. But I think it will be around for a few seasons.

Sure I'll watch it.

At least Joey was funny the last 2 seasons of Friends which cannot be said for most of the rest of the cast.
(by the way, has Matthew Perry's face been completely altered due to drugs or is it just me?)

Friends lost steam a long time ago, but Joey may have some life if they can have an interesting supporting cast (don't know if Drea de Mateo is a good choice) and some snappy writing.

I think the creators are into the challenge.
They better be, or else.

I plan on watching it to see how it is. I hope it will be good but it will be hard without the other 5.

Joey is starting off the same way Frazier did...no one thought that Frazier would make it and that was 11 years ago..Joey just needs to find it's nitch..then there will be the possibilty of his buddies coming to visit..matthew perry said he would love to as david schwimmer who said he would do it if jen would...yay ..by the way episode 6 is being directed by david schwwimmer who has directed 12 episodes of friends.

I have seen the first half of the pilot and it is funny. I did not watch the end because I would like to be surprised when it actually airs.

Just thought I would toss my approval out there.

Joey cannot survive the 2004-2005 season, so I refuse to watch.

So, we're about 1/2 way through the first season and I have to say, it's pretty damn funny. I too was skeptical about Drea, but she's awesome.

:notworthy  :clap

And yet it's guaranteed a full season.

Season two talks are in the works, too.
