The Heart Locket

I've noticed that in most episodes, Sam wears a large, silver heart-shaped locket. Does anyone know if this was something that was part of "wardrobe", or if this was her own locket which had some special significance? Just curious.

Thanks, Pandora! Yes, this is the necklace I was referring to - I just assumed it was a locket. The links were very interesting - I didn't know the original pendant was set with diamonds - on TV it just looks like sterling silver.
