DECEMBER 21, 1966

"The Puzzles Are Coming" (#9731-Pt. 1) first aired @ 7:30 EST on ABC as the 65th episode of Batman.

Fred De Gorter's script originally began as a Riddler vehicle entitled "A Penny For Your Riddles/They're Worth A Lot More!" probably intended as an early second season episode. Frank Gorshin was unavailable, so De Gorter rewrote the script for a new villain, Mr. Conumdrum, titled "The Conumdrums are Coming/The Duo is Slumming," which in turn was changed to The Puzzler (actually a Superman villain in the comic books).

DECEMBER 22, 1966

"The Duo Is Slumming" (#9731-Pt. 2) first aired @ 7:30 EST on ABC as the 66th episode of Batman.

Andy Devine cameoed here as Santa Claus in a Batclimb! (These episodes aired close to Christmastime.)

DECEMBER 21, 1967

"The Ogg Couple" (#1705-Pt. 3) first aired @ 7:30 EST on ABC as the 109th episode of Batman.

This was the final appearance of both Anne Baxter as Olga, Queen Of The Cossacks and the late Vincent Price as Egghead. It was originally planned as a third installment for episodes #102/#103 (all were shot together over nine days), but rather than have ABC air another 3-parter, the producers split up the episodes.

Here's another change about the TV Milestones: every week I will throw in a little extra trivia.
