Though I only discovered Square Pegs last spring, I have been a big fan of the very talented Jami Gertz for a long time. I'm not sure how many of you saw it, but last night CBS aired a Christmas movie with Jami called Undercover Christmas, and it was great. I've always felt that Jami doesn't get the respect and attention that she deserves. She is a very talented actress who does a great job with both comedy and drama, and she was able to use her talent at both in this movie.

She was in the movies "The Lost Boys" & "Twister" and played the late Gilda Radner on "It's Always Something" on ABC!!

The Lost Boys is a classic. That is actually the first movie I saw Jami in. I was 12 when it was released. I developed a really big crush for her after seeing that movie. Later that year she was in another great movie called Less Than Zero.

Another Jami Gertz fan finally speaking up.

She's a good actress that's come a long way since her days as Muffy, and who deserves a lot more attention. Less Than Zero and The Lost Boys are two of my favorites. And Twister, can't forget that one.

One of the many things that makes Jami so good is that she makes it so you like the charaters that she plays, even if they are not very nice people. Muffy would be the perfect example of this. If anyone besides Jami had played Muffy, she would have probably been totally unlikable (the same is very true of Tracy Nelson as Jennifer). Jami made it so the audiance could like Muffy. I think this is also very true of the character of Blair in Less Than Zero. Blair was a complete self centered burn out, but with Jami playing her, you feel sorry for her.
