Are you traveling, staying home, cooking? I'm having a quiet dinner at home with a handful of relatives. The hubby, with the exception of eating dinner, with have his butt superglued to the sofa all day while in football heaven.
For me, it's like working a catering job.

Yep, that's what we're doing also. I'm having my family over, it's a tradition we started 4 years ago since we've had our house. Including ourselves, it comes out to about 10-12 people. I don't mind it so much, although it is like catering a party. With all the appetizers, huge dinner, and desserts. It can get very expensive,
but it's alot of fun when my family gets here. Anyways, my husband doesn't watch football, he's more of a hockey fan. So he's always outside deepfrying one of the turkeys and I also have one in the oven. It's a good time, but I have to say, when it's all over I wipe my brow saying, "whew, we made it through another one". lol:wave:
I'll be heading back to NJ tomorrow to spend a few days at home.
Thanksgiving dinner will be at my brother's house with his wife and kids, his in-laws and other assorted family members where I'll be asked questions like "When are you going to cut your hair?" or "What happened to that girl you were dating last Thanksgiving?" and my personal favorite "When are you going to start raising a family?"
That's when my good buddy Heineken comes to my rescue...

hide in my room until my dad forces me to come out and eat, pretend to eat and put most of the **** in my napkin and throw it out, then continue on with my life.

Staying home, a couple cousins, one from Long Island, another from Red Hook, are coming up for the day and my sister and her family will probably stop by later for dessert.

Well, I sort of have two...one for my mom's side and the other for my dad's. I'll go to my aunt, uncle and cousins' on my mom's side to eat and stay there for a little while, then probably later go to my aunt's and uncle's on my dads side and if I want more food I'll eat some. Usually it's just like pie or something, though. But yeah, just staying in the same old boring city...I don't get to travel like the lucky people, all of my relatives live in the same place.

My parents and sister are in Wisconsin right now and will be there for Thanksgiving. I decided to stay home, so I'll be spending the night at my best friend's house on Wed night, and will eat Thanksgiving dinner at her house.

I'm staying home. Thanksgiving happens to be on my birthday this year (Again). My mother's parents arrived tonight and my sister from Boulder Creek (The town next to Santa Cruz) and my sister from UCSB are coming and my cousins are coming as well. It's going to be a pretty packed house I'll tell you.

Probably just have dinner with my mom, dad, and brother. Nothing really special....it'll be pretty boring not having Thanksgiving with all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins.

I know the feeling. The first two or three days you enjoy the vacation and forget about the boards but when after thereafter, that is when withdrawal really hits.
I hope you'll enjoy your trip.

Just eat with my mom, dad, and brother. It's the only time we ever eat dinner together in the year. It'll most likely be just some turkey. My parents are going to be busy all day cleaning rooms and doing laundry to prepare anything, and after they eat, it's right back to work. Thanksgiving really doesn't mean anything to us though since my parents aren't from this country, so it's not a big deal.

I hate Thanksgiving, I don't do anything special on that crummy day. I stay home and either watch tv or sleep.
