Hiya everyone! Here’s a new CD/Nate fanfic. Hope you like it… :)



The bet


“That’s SO not true Nate!”CD said angrily at her partner who was sitting opposite her, trying to hide his smile.

“Sure it is CD” he said. Nate just loved teasing her cause her eyes sparkled so beautiful when she was angry.

“OK,how bout we try here and now?”she challenged him.

“Mmmm….ok”he said and started rolling his sleeve.CD was doning the same and their co-workers watched them wondering what was going on.

“They’re going to arm wrestle”Raina leaned and whispered to Jinny.

“They are going what?”Jin asked surprised.

“Arm wrestle. Nate said something about…….mmmm………that women are weaker than man and they started arguing.In the end Nate said thet he could easily defeat CD in the arm wrestling and she challenged him” Raina was telling the whole story.

“Oh.Whait a minute, how do you know all that” Jinny smirked.

“Well….i was passing by and overheard”she was looking at the ground knowing that Jinny didn’t buy her lame explanation.

“Sure you were”Jin smiled.She and Raina watched was was going to happen next.CD and Nate were already prepeared.

“I bet you anything you like I I’ll win”Nate said.He was so sure of himself.

“Anything?”CD asked.She had those little evil sparkles in her eyes and Nate knew they couldn’t mean anything good.

“Anything”.

“Ok.If I win then you’ll be my slave for the whole day.If you win then I’ll slave you.Deal?”she spread her hand to him.

“Deal”.Nate threw CD one of his ‘special’ smiles.The thought of CD slaving him for the whole day pleased him.They shook hands and started to arm wrestle.Soon CD realized that she wasn’t going to win.But she also knew that she would better die that admit she was wrong and Nate was right.so she decided to put a little pressure in him.

So thanskgiving, huh? Well we don't have thanksgiving here in Lithuania so i don't have to post more:p Just kidding. Here's more and thanks for your replies guys. :)

CD looked straight into Nate’s eyes and licked her lips.She ran her free hand through her hair and then undid two buttons of her shirt and started stroking her neck and upper chest.Nate tried to stare straight into her eyes and not to look at what her hand did but he just couldn’t control his eyes and they followed CD’s hand which now was playing with the third button.That was enough fot Nate to loose his attention and he didn’t even noticed how he was defeated.

“Ha!I won!”CD exclaimed happily.She knew she played dirty but who cares!

“You cheated!”Nate didn’t want to agree with her.

“You lost Nate.Now live with that”CD was incredibly pleased with herself “oh, and be at my apartment at 8 tomorrow”she said grinning.

“Oww,come on!It means I have to get up at 7.It’s Saturday tomorrow!”he was pouting.

“I‘m planning on doing a lot of work tomorrow and I have to get up early .And you are going to make breakfast for me .Oh,wait………..i’m planning on you doing a lot of work tomorrow”she grinned.

“Oh boy”Nate sighed.





*The next morning, CD’s apartment*


CD had just had a shower when a doorbell rang. When she opened the door she saw her partner standing there.

“It’s about time”CD smirked “you’ve got lots of work to do” she sat on the couch. Nate sat beside her and stared at CD.She looked so sweet in her robe with wet hair.

“What are ya waitin’ for? I’m hungry.Go and make me breakfast”CD pointed to the kitchen.Nate just smiled and rolled his eyes and went to make breakfast thinking about what he will do to revenge on her.

“And there’s a list of what you have to do today”CD said grinning.Nate scanned through the sheet. ‘Do launder, clean the bathroom, do shopping…..’

“Gee, that really sounds fun”he mumbled and started doing the pancakes.A while later CD came into the kitchen and was surprised to see that everything wasn’t destroyed.

“So what do we have here?”she asked smiling.She wanted that this whole thing wouldn’t be just about the bet. She wanted that Nate would make breakfast for her every morning.

“Penny for your thoughts” Nate said as he notived CD was staring to the sink.

“Uhh…..I……”she was caught off the guard and didn’t know what to say “I was just thinking.

“About what?”

“No, nothing.Keep doing your job,slave”she patted on his shoulder and grinned.

“Women”Nate muttered under his breath.

“I heard that”came CD’s voice.

“You must be kidding “Nate glared. He couldn’t believe CD was making him doing this.

“What’s wrong?”she pretended innocent although she perfectly knew what he was talking about.

“I’m not gonna do this CD.And I mean it….It’s humiliating!” Nate was losing his nerves.

“Is it so hard to do the shopping?”Besides,you’re my slave and have to do whatever I tell ya.”she was enjoying this very much.

“CD I’m telling you.NO! I’m NOT gonna buy tampons and depilator !” he shouted.

“You‘re not gonna get away from this Nathan so why don‘t you stop whining and go to the store?“CD said in the tone that Nate knew it was pointless to argue with her, so he left.

In the shop, Nate at first bought food and then went to the hygiene section. The thought of buying tampons was making him blush and by the time he came to the shelves his face and ears were red. He looked at all those boxes not knowing which one to buy.

‚She‘s going to pay for this‘he thought to himself as he closed his eyes extended his arm and took the first box he touched. Then he went to look for the depilator. He didn‘t think of which one to buy, he just took the first one that caught his eye and almost ran out of the section. Then he went to pay for all the stuff he was buying for CD and when the checker was counting the price, he felt himself blushing even more if that was possible.He quickly paid the money and rushed to his car.

Is there anyone who wants more??? ;)

Meanwhile CD was sitting on the couch and watching TV. Since the minute Nate left her apartment she couldn‘t stp grinning. She knew Nate felt really embarrassed ‚It serves him right,for thinking women are weaker than men‘ she thought. At that moment Nate entered and CD giggled when she saw his red face and ears. Nate tossed the bag on her couch and sat down . He crossed his arms and frowned.


„What‘s wrong Nate?“CD asked. On one hand she was qiute happy with the result but on the other hand she thought that she overdid a little. Nate didn‘t answer, just stared at the floor.

„Nate?“ ok............maybe she overdid a lot.Still there was no answer so CD shook his shoulder.

„Here‘s your,er, stuff“he handed her a bag „is there anything else you‘d like ma‘am“he asked sarcasticly.

„Yes i would.Go and clean the bathroom“ now CD was angry. Nate didn‘t say anything, just stood up and went to the bathroom.

The next hour was spent in silence,none of them saying a word unless it was necessary. This day wasn‘t as fun as CD imagined.Nate was pissed off and she was angry.She didn‘t know if whe was angry with Nate or with herself.She just knew she was angry with someone.

„It‘s cleaned“Nate said as he stood near CD.

„Ok“ she said. CD wanted to make it up with Nate. ‚Maybe I should just apologize‘she thought ‚nahhhh‘. Nate had the similar thoughts but then he thought that CD should be the one that apologizes.

„Nate“ „CD“ they both spoke at the same time.

„You go first“Nate said.

„Listen,i‘m sorry i made you buy those things.Maybe it wasn‘t such a good idea after all“.

„Yeah,it wasn‘t .And i‘m sorry I“he was interrupted.

„For acting like a jerk?“CD winished for him and grinned.

„Well,i was going to tell for being angry,but yeah.And ya know,the idea was great just you chose the wrong person“they boht laughed

„ok,i‘m going to do your launder now“.he said and CD smiled.At that moment someone knocked on the door.

„Yeah whatever.So where‘s Nate?i hope you treat him good“Raina looked around. ‘Ok,if you want it,you can have‘CD thought.

„Well,actually he‘s gone.He‘s buying me lacy underwear“CD said and almost laughed at Raina‘s expression,but managed to look calm.

„He,he he‘s WHAT?“she almost shouted.‘Oh boy,ohhh boy.I can‘t wait to tell everyone,oh boy‘ she thought.

„He‘s buying me lacy underwear.I needed to buy them anyway and since Nate is my slave today he‘s buying them.He had to buy food so i thought why not to buy underwear.What do ya think what color he‘ll buy?Black or red?Or maybe white?“CD was grinning now.

„Well,I,I don‘t know.I better go „she stammered and turned towards the door.

„And what about that case?“CD asked innocently.

„You know,it‘s not that important.I better go now cause Cap will be angry.see ya“and with that Raina was out.She was so itching to tell everyone.

„I don‘t love you“ he stammered‚yeah very smart Nate,really‘he thought.

„What i mean is,ya know,it‘s just a... a.... a saying.Yeah a saying.“he hoped CD would buy that.

„Yeah,i know.“CD sighed.For a minute she thought that maybe Nate ment that but now her hopes were gone.

„So how are my clothes doing?“she asked in a cheerful voice.

„It‘ll be done soon“Nate answered and went to the bathroom.‘ Was she really disappointed?Nah,it‘s just my imagination.There‘s no way she feels the same‘Nate thought.

„Guys ,guys ! Oh my god!You‘re not gonna believe this!“Raina shouted running towards Jinny and Teddy.

„Whoa,Raina.What‘s going on here?“Jinny asked surprised.

„CD........Nate............underwear..........buying now“she was trying to catch her breath.

„Raina wait a minute.Now tell me what happened“Teddy was interested now.

„Ok ok.As you know today Nate is CD‘s slave.I had to as CD something bout the case so i went to her apartment“

„You mean you went to chech up on them“ Jin cut her off and smiled.

„Yes,no!Nevermind.So i went at CD‘s apartment and asked where Nate was and she said that he was buying her lacy underwear.and she was wondering what color he was going to buy!Can you imagine that?Nate buying CD lacy underwear!!”Raina was speaking loudly and now caught everyone’s attention. Jinny and Teddy looked at one other.They new that something was wrong in here.CD would never ever let Nate buy her underwear.

“Are ya sure?I mean it’s impossible”Teddy still couldn’t believe in what he was hearing.

“I think we should ask CD later,honey”Jin kissed Teddy passionately and wanted to leave but Raina stopped them.

“Whait, you can’t ask her that.She would kill me if she found out I told ya guys.Come on,don’t tell her”Raina was almost begging.

“It’s not a big deal Raina.And by the way, since CD told YOU,then it means that she doesn’t want to hide it.I think you’re save”and with that both Jin and Teddy were gone.They had better things to do that arguing with Raina.

“Uh,sorry CD. I thought that you would came back half an hour later so I thought I’d take a shower.You don’t mind I hope.”there he stood,only a towel wrapped round his waist,sheepishly smiling and looking straight into CD’s blue eyes.

“So are ya gonna stand there all night or you come in?CD? Umm……hello? Enybody here?”he waved to CD but there was still no response.She just stood there looking at his so very nicely built body, with here mouth opened.He was just soo hot.She wanted to jump him right there and right then but she got her sence back and spoke.

“Uh,sorry.Yeah sure……I don’t mind.”she stammered and went inside and was very surprised.Her table was set for two,there were candles and a rose on it.She looked at Nate and found herself speechless.

“I thought that maybe I could make it up for ya.You know,for being angry today and all……….the dinner should be ready in thirty minutes so you can take a shower and then we eat ok?”he was smiling.

“Yeah,I’ll just go”she pointed to the shower and left Nate standing in the livingroom alone.He went to the bedroom and got dressed and then came back to the kitchen.

‚Why is he doing this to me?‘CD thought while having a shower.“And this dinner?Why the hell is he making me a romantic dinner?Maybe he does feel the same after all?‘she had many thoughts in her head and all of them contained one and the same person.Nate.

CD stepped out of the shower, put a fluffy robe on, dried her hair and went to the bedroom.

„The dinner‘s ready“Nate knocked on the door.

„Just a sec“CD replied.She didn‘t know why was she so nervous.It was just a dinner that Nate made because it was his ‚duty‘ since he was a slave. But CD found herself trying almost all of her clothes and still not knowing what to wear. Finnaly she put on a blue sporty blouse and black pants.She looked at the mirror fot the last time andwent to face her dream guy.The view in her leiving room caught CD‘s breath. All the lights were out and the only thing that sent light were two candles. It was the most romantic and beautiful thing a guy arranged for her.

„Please sit down my lady“Nate smiled at her and led her to the table.CD sat down and waited till Nate served the dinner.

„You didn‘t have to bother“she said.She noticed a disappointment in Nate‘s eyes and theadded „Well it‘s not that i don‘t appreciate this.It‘s very sweet.Thanks“she smiled and took a bite.

„Anytime“Nate felt he was blushing and it seemed that it suddenly got hotter in room. They ate in uncomfortable silence, none of them knowing what to say.When they were finished Nate stood up and started to picking up the dishes.

„I‘ll clean everything by myself.you don‘t have to.I think what you did today was enough“CD started to get up herself.

„It‘s ok.i made all this mess so i will clean it“Nate went to the kitchen and CD went to help him.Half an hour later everything was cleaned and Nate was preparing to leave.

„I‘m Greg“her smiled at CD.

„Hi Greg,i‘m CD“CD smiled back. ‚If i can‘t have Nate, then I‘ll have another guy‘ she thought to herself and started talking to Greg.He was very nice and reminded Nate.

„Wanna dance?“Greg asked andheld out his hand.

„Sure“. Greg pressed his body to CD‘s and she wrapped her arms aroud his neck.Thay were swaying slowly and a couple of minutes later they both were kissing and making out.

„Wanna go to my place?“Greg whispered kissing her hair.CD didn‘t respond. ‚Oh, to hell Nate and everyone else‘she thought and then noded her head.She hoped that maybe Greg will help her to forget Nate,even if for just one night.They called a taxi and soon were at Greg‘s place. They were kissing and taking off clothes from each other.They moved to the bedroom and Greg laid CD on the bed.

The next morning CD woke up in a strange bed.With a strange guy sleeping next to her.Naked.Her head felt like it was going to explode.Then all the events from the last night came back.

„Hi“CD smiled back „Um,can i have a shower?“she asked and put on his shirt.

„By the way,you were great last night“Greg said and went to the shower.CD smiled to herself.Greg was great.When she woke up this morning she regretted last night but now she realised she liked Greg.He was smart,handsome,funny,great in bed and the most important,he was with her.Ok,he couldn‘t compete with Nate,but Nate didn‘t want her.And he never will so CD had to be staisfied with the second best.

Greg came back from the shower and saw CD making breakfast.They ate and then CD left, giving him her phone number before.

CD arrived at her apartment‘s door and saw Nate.

„Where have you been?I tried to call you yesterday and this morning but you didn‘t answer the phone.Is everything ok?“he was worried.

„Everything‘s great! And last night I wasn‘t at home“she let him in her apartment. „And what do you want.Not that i‘m not happy to see you,just curious“she smiled.

„I left my cell here.So where did ya spent the night?“he asked as he was looking for his cell.

„At Greg‘s“CD grinned.Nate frose.‘Did she said Greg‘s.As in.......Greg‘s‘Nate thought to himself.

„Who‘s Greg?“he asked.He wanted to kill that guy.

„Just a guy.My boyfriend,we could say“she smiled.CD didn‘t know why, but she wanted Nate to know she had a guy.

„Ohh,so how long are you two tigether?“oh yeah,he deffinately wanted to kill that Greg.

CD couldn’t take off a stupid grin off her face until she laid on the bed.The she remembered Greg.He was a nice guy and CD didn’t want to hurt him by telling him that she just used him to forget Nate.Now she had a difficult task: to think of what to tell Greg without hurting his feelings. Then she remembered Nate again. CD wondred what what the hell she will tell him tomorrow.She couldn’t just go to him and tell ‘Hi Nate.I’m sorry I was screwing Greg,but I wanted to forget my feelings for you and I know you acted like an ass because you were jealous.Can we be together now?’

“This is gonna be harder than I thought”she whispered under her breath and finally closed her eyes.

“Lilly told me”she said smiling and then noticed CD’s look.

“Nate and Lilly went on a date last night.And then they came back to Nate’s and,you know”she explained smirking.

“I’m going to the bathroom”CD said and practically ran off.Nate looked at her wondering what was wrong but then decided that it was to hard to understand women.

CD entered the bathroom and looked around.Noboby was there so CD finally let herself cry.She sat down in the corner and and hugged her knees. It hurted badly. Now she knew for sure that Nate didn’t want to be with her,he had that slut Lilly. CD felt pathetic,cause she was crying over a guy again.

“How could I be so stupid and think that a guy like Nate would like a woman like me?”she said to herself.CD sat there,crying,for about five minutes.Then she heard the door opening and lifted her head to see a worried Jinny’s face.

“Oh god CD.What happened?”she knelf down beside CD and hugged her.Then CD started sobbing again,although she thought her tears dried out.After a couple of minutes she calmed down and looked Jinny let her go.CD looked terrible.Her eyes were red from crying and her make-up was all messed up.

“Yeah”CD sighed.They both stayed quiet for a couple of minutes.Then CD laughed.

Guess who's back!!!Me!!!!! lol Sorry it's been so long since i last posted.I've been busy with organizing the new year's party and all, and then I had a hell of hangover.But I got 11 replies!:D I thought that maybe I should not post for long time more often!:p Well,anyway,here's more!

“Where do you think you’re going?”CD grabbed her hand.

“To Nate.I’ve gotta ask him”Jinny hoped this would work and CD would talk to Nate herself.

“You can’t.Ok,fine.I’ll talk to him.Just,don’t you dare to go and tell him.”

“Promise?”
“Promise.”

“Then I’ll book a table in thet little Italian restaurant and you two could talk”Jinny smiled,took her cell and booked a table for two before CD could protest.CD just sat there and stared at her friend.’So now she wants me to ask him to go out with me?’ she thought.Everything was getting more and more complicated every minute.

“By the way I want all the details tomorrow”Jinny smirked.

Jinny and CD drank their coffees and got back to the division.


“Tell me one thing.How long does it take to drink a cup of coffee?And why couldn’t you drink coffee here?”Nate asked as CD sat down.He was wondering what was going on.First, his partner and Jinny talked in the bathroom for almost an hour and now they went to the bar and spent there almost an hour again.Since when did CD and Jinny become such a good friends?

“Ya know what?Jinny said that there is this little Italian restaurant with a great food. And yesterday we decided to go there, but then Jinny told me she couldn’t go and we already made a reservations.So I was wondering maybe you’d like to go with me?”CD felt bad lying her partner but she just couldn’t make herself ask him out.

“And what about Greg?Why don’t you go with him?”Nate snapped.

“Because I want to go with you”CD said and mentally kicked herself for saying that.

“Ohh…..ok then.When?”

“7 pm.That’s ok with you?”

“Sure.” Nate got back to his work but he couldn’t concentrate.He was thinking about the dinner.Now he thought that maybe it wasn’t such a good idea after all. He didn’t know how should he act,what to wear,whether to bring her a rose or something,or not.He was having second thoughts.then he realized that someone was talking to him.

“Huh?What did ya say?”he looked at Kate.

“Nate!I’m talking about your new case for the last five minutes and you say you didn’t hear a thing?” Kate was staring at him with disbelief.For the last couple of days he and CD were acting somehow strange and Kate wondered if something was wrong but then she pushed those thoughts away and decided that if something bothered her inspectors they would tell her when they wanted to.

“CD fill Nate in on the case on your way to the crime scene.”Kate watched as CD nooded and grabbed her coat,but Nate didn’t show any attempt to leave.

“Move Basso!”Cap barked. Nate almost fell from his cair.Kate and CD looked at him but didn’t say a thing.

“Nate what’s wrong?”CD asked as she pulled over,but she didn’t get any respond.She thought that Nate didn’t hear so she repeated her question. Nate just looked at her.He heard everything perfectly but he didn’t know what to say.He couldn’t say he was thinking about the dinner so he mumbled something about being tired.

After work, CD and Nate went home.They both had the same problem :both were standing in front of their closets and thinking what to wear.Finally CD decided to wear and a blue blouse and Nate put on white T-shirt and a jacket.On his way to the restaurant,Nate was thinking a lot.He decided that that evening, he would tell CD how he felt.Finally he reached the restaurant and pulled over.He was five minutes early so he went to the table and waited for CD to arrive.A few minutes later he saw her coming towards the table.The view caought his breath,although CD was wearing simple clothes.But to Nate,she could be wearing a bag and he would still think she was the most sexiest and beautiful woman in the world.

“Hi”CD said and smiled as she sat down in front of Nate.Her cheeks were pink because she was really nervous.At that moment her cell rang.

“CD DeLorenzo”she answered and frowned as she heard the voice on the other side.It was Greg.She talked to him for a minute and then hung up.

“Is everything ok?”Nate asked as he noticed CD was a little angry.

“Yeah,sure”she replied, not wanting to tell Nate it was Greg she was talking to.

The waiter came and they made their orders.The dinner went not as good as they both expected.They were silent for the most of the time and were really nervious. When the dinner was finished they decided to go for a walk. When they cane outside CD shivered a little.

“You cold?”Nate asked.

“Just a little.”

“Here,take my jacket”Nate took if off and put the jacke on CD’s sholders.She just smiled at how gentlemanly Nate was.They walked in silence for a while and then Nate spoke up.

“Uh,CD.I had a great time”he stammered.He practiced this speech in his head so many times and now he was acting like a school boy on his first date.

“Yeah,me too”CD looked at him.

“That was not what I wanted to tell ya.What I wanted to say was….CD”he looked deep in her her eyes and at that moment.............

“That was not what I wanted to tell ya.What I wanted to say was….CD”he looked deep in her her eyes and at that moment,CD and Nate heard a scream, and Nate couldn’t finish his sentence.They both ran to the way where the scream was coming from and saw a young woman standing in the middle of the street, and a guy running away.

When the woman saw Nate and CD she told them that the guy had stolen her purse and Nate ran after him.CD stayed with the woman and tried to calm her. CD was worried.

’What if something happens to Nate?He doesn’t have any gun and what if that guy is armed?’she thought.She took her cell and called to the division.She told what had happened and they said that they’d send someone.

The cops arrived about five minutes later and one of them ran to the way Nate and the guy had run to. CD followed him and when they both reached the newt block they saw a man’s body, lying near the dumpster.

CD suddenly stopped.It was dark and she couldn’t see whether it was Nate.Her heart was beating very fast and she found she couldn’t make herself move.The officer ran to the man and rolled him,so he was lying on his back.

“Don’t you dare to leave me partner”she whispered toucing his face,tears rolling down her cheeks.

“He’s tough CD.He’s gonna make it”the officer put his hand on CD’s shoulder.A few minutes later an ambulance arrived and took Nate to the hospital.

CD arrived at the hospital and came to the nurse.

“Hello,I’m looking for Nate Basso.He was brought here just a minute ago”she said. The nurse looked at some papers and said that the doctor was checking him and as soon as there was any news the doctor would tell her.

CD sat down and put her head in her hands.No,she souldn’t lose Nate.Not before she told him how she felt.About an hour later Kate, Jinny,Raina and even Magda arrived.Jinny saw CD and hugged her.CD couldn’t hold back her tears anymore and burst into tears.

“Oh honey what happened?”Jin asked tightening her grip.

“I should have gone with him,I should have gone with him”CD repeated and started crying harder.

“It’s not your fault CD”Kate tried to comfort her but CD didn’t want to listen to her.

“I’m his partner damnit! It’s my job to….oh God.He can’t die.”

It was obvious CD was in shock so Cap decided to go to the doctor.She hoped he could give something to CD to calm her down.A few minutes later she came back with the doctor.

“Hey CD,I’m doctor Carter.Are you ok?”he asked as he squatted down in front of CD.

“The hell I am! I…I’m sorry doctor.I didn’t mean to yell at you”CD lowered her eyes.

“I can see you’re not”he sighed”Listen, I’m gonna give you a pill.It should make you feel better ok?”

I'm back!Finally they removed that damn peace of metal out of my chest and let me go!Those ten days were the worst days in my life!!:crying: Those fuk**n doctors didn't give me enough sedatives so i had to suffer a hell of the pain.I hate hospitals!And I hate doctors!And car accidents!

Anyway, here's more

“Nate Basso?” he looked at everyone and continued as they all nooded.

“I’m doctor Green, a surgeon.The stab made a lot of damage. He lost a lot of blood and we have to operate him immediately.But...he is lucky.The stab was just an inch away form his heart. If he was injured in the heart he would be dead by now. The operatio should take about two hurs.The nurse will tell you as soon as there is any news”and with that he left.Everyone was silent for a minute.They still couldn’t believe this was happening.

“I’m very sorry about your husband CD,but you shoult take some sleep.There wouldn’t be any good if you make yourself sick.I think your husband needs you strong when he wakes up”doctor Carted tried to convince her.

“You can’t help him by sitting here CD”Jinny put her hand on her shoulder.CD looked at them with red puffy eyes and sighed.

“Ok but I want you to tell me if there is any news.Deal?”
“Deal.”

Doctor Carter lead CD to the room.He gave her mild sedative and left.When the door closed CD giggled.She remembered how doctor Carter thought Nate was her husband, and nor she nor anyone else denied that.’I wouldn’t mind to be his wife’she thought and then fell asleep.

Meanwhile the four women were waiting for any news in the corridor.They were talking about what had happened.They all were sorry for CD.

“I knew there was something more than the partnership betweent Nate and CD”Raina stated after a minute of silence.Everyone glared at her.

“I don’t think it’s the right time and place to discuss that Raina”Cap snapped. She noticed that CD was worried about Nate more than she was supposed to, but she decided to leave that for now.

“I think CD’s gonna need us,I mean,this is very hard for her and….and if Nate,ya know,she’d need us even more because I don’t think she’d cope with that”Mag had tears in her eyes.She had never thought that she could be so sorry for Nate, and especially CD,since they had been at one other’s throats lately.Kate,Jinny and Raina were really surprised to hear those words coming from Mag’s mouth.They thought that she didn’t care about them, since she was such a bitch,but now they all looked at her and smiled. They could see that Mag meant that and deep in their hearts they all hoped that ‘the old Magda’ came back.

Hey! Sorry it's been so long since i last posted.You can thank my parents for that!! They decided to send me to the damn sanatorium because they thought it'd help me to get well.Yeah right! I was bored to death there! They didn't even have a TV in there!And I couldn't smoke there!!!!:mad: :mad: :mad:

Anyway, here's more!

Three hours later CD felt someone shooking her shoulder. Sleepy she opened her eyes, wondering where the hell she was.Then she remembered everything and quickly sat up.She turned her head and saw Jinny’s face.

“Any news?”CD asked.She realized that Jin wouldn’t wake her if there wasn’t any need.

“The doctor is here”Jin said.CD got out of the bed and rushed to the corridor.

“How is he?”she asked as she came to doctor Green.He looked at her and sighed.That made CD feel even more worried than she was before.She was getting ready to hear the worst news.

“He’s alive”the doctor said.Everyone sighed with relief and Green continued”But he’s in coma.We don’t know when he wakes up or…..if he wakes up at all,but we have to hope for the best.Now all we can do is wait”

“Can I see him?”CD looked at him with pleadin eyes.
“Are you a family?”

“Yes she is”Cap replied before CD could answer herself.

“He should be brought about thirty minutes later.You can go to him then.And I’m really sorry about what happened to your husband”he looked sympathetically and left.

“Does this happen a lot?”Mag asked trying to lighten up the mood.

“What?”CD asked confused.

“People think Nate’s your husband”Mag gave her a little smile.

“Well it happened a couple of time before.”

“I’m going to get a cup of coffee. Is there anyone else who want?”Jin asked as she was slowly walking away.

“Get me one.I don’t think I slept off the sedative”CD replied and sat down “Cap could I take the day off tomorrow?”she asked and looked at Kate.

“Of curse.And you can take the next day after tomorrow off.CD, you can take as much time off as you need”Kate smiled and puther hand on CD’s shoulder.

“Thanks.I really appreciate that.And it’s really nice you’re all here but I think you should go.I mean,you’ve got an early day tomorrow and there’s nothing you can do here.I’ll stay with Nate.”

Everyone started protesting but then they realized CD was right and agreed to go home.They waited for Jinny to come back caude they thought she’d go home with them but Jin refused to leave CD alone.Kate Raina and Mag said their goodbyes and left.

“How are ya?Honestly”Jinny asked.She thought that it might be good for CD to talk to someone who knew about her feelings for Nate.

“I’m bad Jin”CD was on the verge of tears again.

“It must be very hard for you.But CD,don’t ever think that it was your fault.If you would have gone with him then maybe we would have the both of you lying in coma now”Jin tried to convince her friend,but she knew that CD didn’t believe in that,cause once she set her mind on something,nobody could change that.

“Yeah,but I love him so much Jin.I can’t lose him”her voice was trembling.

“He’s a tough cop.Do you really think he’d let some teenager kill him?I don’t think so.I bet he’s waking up now and thinking of the painfull ways to torture that kid for making you fell so bad”Jinny joked and gave CD a smile.CD smiled as well but then she got all serious again as she saw the nurse wheeling Nate towards them.CD and Jinny got up and looked at his face.It was so pale and so calm.He looked as if he was dead.CD felt a stabbing pain coming back to her heart and a tear rolled down her cheek.

The nurse took him to the room and hooked up several machines to Nate.Then she told CD she could go to him and CD entered.She took a chair and sat down beside the bed. She touched his pale face and then took his hand.

“Hey partner”she said in a tearful voice.She wasn’t sure if he could hear her, but she knew that some people in coma could hear,so she decided to try.

“I,ah,wanted to say I’m sorry.For not being there with you.They say it’s not my fault,but they don’t know anything.I should have protected you.That’s what partners are for,right? You can’t leave me,Nate.I’d die if you do that.Please open your eyes.Nate…..you hear me?Nate?”CD was starting to cry again.She out her head on the side of the bed and wrapped her hand around Nate’s stomach.

Jinny was waiting outside the room,but when CD didn’t come out after thirty minutes, she decided to go in.She softly knocked, but didn’t receive any answer so she opened the door. The first thing she saw as she looked inside was CD, sleeping with her head put on the side of the bed.She smiled and came to CD with the intention of waking her up,but then she decided against that. Jin knew that CD was tired and needed to have a rest, and that she would never leave the hospital,so Jin let CD sleep and left.

In the morning CD was woken up by a nurse.She sleepy looked around,not remembering where she was.Then everything came back and and she looked at Nate.

“This wasn’t a dream”she whispered.

“Excuse me?What did you say?”the nurse asked.

“Oh,ah nothing.What time is it?”CD asked as she looked through the window and saw that it was morning already.

“A little after 7. I had to wake you up because I had to change the bandages.I’m really sorry about your husband Mrs. Basso”the nurse put a hand on CD’s sholder.

“I’m sorry too”she replied and left the room so the nurse could re-bandage Nate up. She sat down outside the room and smiled.Yet another person thought Nate was her husband.She wanted to explain them that he was just her partner partner but then she decided not to,because then they wouldn’t let her stay with him.CD stood up and went to the coffee machine.She really needed caffeine to stay awake.She took a cup and went towards the room.The nurse was still in, so she just stood there and drank her coffee.

“Hey”she heard a familiar voice from behind.

“Hey Jin”CD turned around.

“How’s Nate?”she asked.

“I don’t know.I haven’t spoken with the doctor yet”CD sighed.

They talked a little and then Jinny left for work,but CD stayed there for the rest of the day, until the doctor orded her to go home and have some rest.

CD took the next week off and stayed with Nate in the daytime, and in the evening she went home.Every morning,on her way to the hospital, she hoped Nate would be woke up,but every morning when CD entered the room she had been seeing the same sight – Nate,lying still on the bed. And every morning it was tearing her heart apart because she knew that the chances Nate would wake up were getting slimmer with every day.

Two days after the incident,CD broke up with Greg. Since CD told him she couldn’t see him because she had to be with Nate, he had been acting like and ass.He couldn’t understand how her partner could be more important than him.

A week later CD came back to work.She was partnered up with Raina. No matter how hard CD tried, she couldn’t concentrate on her work. Her mind kept drifting to Nate.

Days passed, but Nate’s condition hadn’t got any better.Everyone started loosing the hope Nate would ever wake up from the coma.

One day CD was sitting at her desk,doing the paperwork when her cell rang.She picked it up.

“DeLorenzo”she said.

“Hello,this is doctor Green.I’ve got some news about Nate”he said.

CD’s heart started beating very fast.She couldn’t believe Nate had woken up.Or had died.’No he hadn’t died.That couldn’t happen’she thought and pushed that thought away.

“Yes?”she waited for the doctor to speak.

“I don’t want to discuss this on the phone.Could you come to the hospital?”

“Doctor!Just tell me!What ever the news is!”she was getting impatient.She had to know.

“I told you I don’t want to discuss this on the phone.Now would you please come to the hospital?” That doctor WAS really getting on her nerves.

“Fine.I’ll be there in 15 minutes”she said and hung up.’Why couldn’t he tell me on the phone?If Nate had woken up he would have told me.No no no.He hadn’t died.There must be something else’she thought and rushed to Kate’s office.

“Cap,he called”CD said as she burst in.

“Whoa,hold your horses.Who called?”Kate was confused.

“The doctor.He called just a minute ago and told he got some news.I’m going to thehospital now”CD said and rushed out without even saying bye.She didn’t have time to time to explain it in detail.All she was thinking about was how to get to the hospital.

CD ran out of the building, jumped into the car and turned on the siren. She reached the hospital in less than ten minutes and ran to Nate’s room.And stopped dead.

“Oh my god”she whispered under her breath.

There,on the bed, she saw Nate.He was awake and smiling.Beside the bed stood doctor Green with a goofy smile on his face.

“Missed me?”Nate teased.CD felt the tears running down her cheeks.She slowly came to Nate and hugged him.

“I thought I had lost you”she whispered to his ear.She held him for a minute and then pulled away.She looked at the doctor who was still standing there.

“Damn you!”she yealled at him.”I was getting out of my mind on the way to this damned hospital!Why didn’t you tell me?!”she yealled and then smiled. Doctor Green let out a breath as he realized CD wasn’t mad at him, and smiled.

“He asked me not to tell”he pointed to Nate who lowered his eyes.

“Why the hell did….ya know what?I don’t care why.Just aa slong as you’re ok”she said and gently patted Nate’s shoulder.

“Welcome back to the land of living”she joked.

“If you’re interested CD”Green withdrawed her attention”Nate’s wound almost healed up while he was in coma so he can go home in a few days.We’ll just make some tests to make sure”he said and left.CD couldn’t believe Nate had woken up. She took a deep breath and looked at his eyes.

“Nate,I’ve got something to tell you.I promised myself that if you wake up I’d tell you this.Nathan Basso, I love you”she said and looked away.There was silence for a minute.

“Say something”CD pleaded.’I shouldn’t have told him.He doesn’t feel that way.’she thought and stood up,ready to leave.

“I’m gonna go to the corridor to call…”she started but Nate cut her off.

Meanwhile Nate was lying in his bed and cried silently.He tried to control his emotions but miserably failed.The sight of CD’s eyes when he told her he didn’t love her, was tearing his heart apart.But he knew he had done the right thing.He just had to tell CD he didn’t love her.When the doctor told Nate how CD acted when he was shoot, Nate realized that CD loved him. But he couldn’t let her to through this again. He knew his job was very dangerous and he could get shoot everyday, so he decided to protect CD from the pain she would feel if he was injured again.This was for the best.

CD was still sitting on the rocks when her phone rang.Swearing, she picked it up.

“DeLorenzo”she asked trying to make her voice sound normal.

“Hey it’s me.Wanted to ask ya what the doc told.Is Nate ok?”Jinny asked with the hope.

“Yeah,he’s awake.Asked me to tell hi to everyone”CD’s voice started trembling. Jinny noticed that at once.

“What’s wrong?”she asked concerned.All she could hear was CD’s sobs.”CD where are you?”

“On the beach”CD replied through the tears.

“Where exactly?I’ll come to ya?”Jin was already leaving the division.CD protested at first,saying she would be ok, but Jin insisted and she finally told where she was.As Jin was walking towards her car,she met Teddy.

“Hey beautiful”he smiled and kissed her passionately.He noticed Jin was somehow worried.

“What’s wrong?”he asked.

“I’m not sure.It’s CD.After she went to the hospital…”she sighed.

“Wait a minute…..Nate’s not dead is he?”Teddy was worried too.

“No no no.He woke up.but I don’t understand.CD should be happy he’s gonna be ok but instead she’s very upset and cries.So I’m going to her now”Jinny started unlocking her car.

“That’s great!I mean,that Nate woke up.But CD is really strange.Maybe I should go and see Nate?”Teddy suggested.

“You do that”Jin smiled and kissed him.She said she loved him and drove off. Teddy got to his car too and went to the hospital.

This 'not posting' thingie's been going for too long.So I'm gonna end that and post more.Btw,I hope you're not mad at me cause you didn't get to read Cat's fics because of me.....

“You do that”Jin smiled and kissed him.she said she loved him and drove off. Teddy got to his car too and went to the hospital.

Jinny went to the beach,to the place CD had told her about.In the distance she saw a lonely figure sitting on the rocks.Jin headed that way.She came to CD and put her hand on her shoulder.CD shivered undr the touch and turned her head to look at Jin.

“Hey”she said and looked at the ocean.

“Hey”Jin sat down beside her friend.She felt bad seeing CD so upset.They sat in silent for a couple of minutes and then CD spoke:

“I told him I loved him and he said he was sorry because he didn’t feel the same way about me”CD tols not looking at Jin.

“Oh honey”Jin hugged CD, who started sobbing again.

“I know it doesn’t seem that way now but….it gonna be ok.Not today,not tomorrow, but one day.Trust me”Jinny tried to comfort her friend.

“But it hurts so much Jin.I really hoped he loved me.How could I be so stupid?”CD chocked through the tears.

“I know it hurts but you’ll find your prince with the shining armour”Jin tried to joke and CD chuckled a little.She stopped crying and whipped away her tears.

“I don’t want a prince.I want Nate”She said and stood up.

CD and Jin decided to have a girl’s night out,to wach a chick flick while eating ice-cream.

Meanwhile Teddy was entering Nate’s room.He saw Nate’s eyes were red and he understood Nate’d been crying.

“Hey,so….I see the Sleeping Beauty has already woken up”Teddy teased and took a chair to sit down.

“Of course Mr. Prince Charming”Nate joked along.

“How are you?”Teddy asked seriously.
Nate and Teddy talked for a while and then Teddy decided to ask Nate about CD.

“I heard CD was heer an hour ago”he said and saw Nate’s face becoming sad.

“Um,yea,we chatted a little and she left”Nate replied hoping Teddy would drop the subject.
Teddy thought for a little while and then decided to tell. knew Jin would kill him for that but didn’t see another way.

“And that’s why she’s crying now”he stated.Nate looked at him not knowing what to say.He couldn’t believe that CD, Inspector Candace DeLorenzo” would cry over a guy like him.But then he realised that if he could cry, so could CD.

“I didn’t mean to hurt her”he lowered his eyes.

“But you did.Ya know,I don’t get it.You said you didn’t love her although some time ago you told me you loved CD more than the life itself.”Teddy rolled his eyes.He realized Nate was surprised how he knew”A few weeks befor you were injured you poured out your heart when you were drunk”Teddy explained.

“Oh”was all Nate could say.

“So what changed?Don’t you love CD anymore?”

“I do,it’s just….the doc told me how upset CD has been while I was in coma.It can happen again anytime and I don’t want he to go through all this again and….”

Nate stopped speaking as he saw Teddy rolling his eyes.

“Nate.You’re stupid or you’re stupid.No,wait,I know.You’re STUPID!”Teddy was almost yelling at him.Then he lowered his voice.

“CD knows it can happen again.And she doesn’t give a damn.She wants to be with you and you want to be with her.I don’t see a problem.The chance of being injured in your job equals the chance of getting injured in your own bath”Teddy hoped Nate would realize that.Then he stood up.

“I hope you get well soon Nate.I have to go now.And think about what I said”and with that he left.

Nate lied in the bed thinking.He realized what a fool he had been and decided to fix the mistake he had made as soon as he saw CD.

That day he had many visitors.People from the division came and told him how glad they were he’d woken up and told to get well soon.Nate was happy to see them all but all he could think about was CD.

CD didn’t show up the next day and the day after the next.She just couldn’t look into his eyes after what he’d told her.Nate was very worried.H ecouldn’t get rid of the thought that he lost his CD.His thoughts were interupted by a knock.He looked at the door and saw Kate.

“Ready to go home?”she asked smiling.

“Yea,just have to get dressed and we can go outta here”Nate replied and stood up.He took hisa clothes and waited for Kate to go out of the room.But she didn’t move.

“Oh come on.You don’t have anything new to show me.I have seen everything before”Kate said with a calm vaice.Nate just stared at her.He couldn’t believe his ears. His Captain was going to watch him while he changed his clothes.Then Kate started to laught.

“You should have seen your face.Come out when you’re ready to go”she said still laughing and went out.A few minutes later Nate came out and they went to the car.On the ride home Nate was very quiet and Kate had a pretty good idea why.She assumed that something was going on between him and CD.None of them talked about that but the last days were strange.Nate and CD were strange.But they didn’t want to talk about that, it was obvious, so Kate didn’t push.

“We’re here”Kate said as she stopped the car.They went to Nate’s place and Nate was very surprised when he saw his apartment .everything was tidy and clean.The last time he saw this place it was in a big mess.

“While you were in coma CD came here a couple of times”Kate explained seeing Nate’s expression.

As soon as Kate left, Nate ran to the phone and dialed CD’s home number.

As soon as Kate left, Nate ran to the phone and dialed CD’s home number.

“CD was standing in front of the mirror, trying on the new clothes she had bought that day.Jinny nearly dragged her to the mall saying that shopping made every woman feel better.Sudddenly a phone rang.CD picked it up but the the person who called hung up.

“Just great.Some weirdo decided to have fun”she said to herself a little annoyed.She put all the clothes to the closet and went to make something for lunch..About half an hour later there was a knock on the door.She went to the door and opened it.And saw who was standing there.

It was the last person she expected to see.

“Can I come in?”he asked.CD opened the door wider and let him in.He went to sit down on the couch.

“What do you want”she asked.She really didn’t want to see him after what had been said between them.

“To talk”

“Then talk.I’m listening.”

“Ok……CD,I think I made a mistake.What I said…..I didn’t mean that.I want us to be together.What do you say about that?”he looked at her with his puppy eyes.

“You had your chance……I think you should leave”CD said angrily.She still was upset and offended because of his words and didn’t want to forgive him.

“Listen,I know”he didn’t want to give up.

“Good-bye”CD opened the door and waited for him to leave.So he stood up and walked out of her apartmen and out of her life.Forever.

“We need to talk”he said not sure of what to say next.

“We are talking”CD replied although she perfectly knew what Nate meant.

“I know but we need to talk about that,um..hospital”she started but CD cut him off.

“Listen Nate,it’s ok.I understand-“

“It’s not ok.I lied”Nate said.CD was silent so he continued.

“When I told you I didn’t love you.I lied.I wanted to protect you from the pain .I didn’t want you to go through that again and I thought it’d be better if you..um,didn’t care about me that much.But the truth is……….I love you CD”Nate finishe speaking and looked to the ground.

“You’re a fukkin goddamned as*hole”CD shouted and then grabbed his face and kissed like there was no tomorrow.At first Nate was stunned but then he responded to the kiss.Finally they broke the kiss because they needed some oxygen.

“Wow.Maybe I should act like an as*hole more often”Nate teased.

“Don’t you dare”CD playfully slapped him to the arm.

“I love you”he said and wrapped his arms around CD but she pushed him away.

“You made me go through all this and now you think you can come here, tell me you love me and everything’s gonna be ok?!You’re very wrong mister”CD was yealling at him.Nate just sat there not knowing what to say or what to do.

“CD I’m sorry”he stammered.

“The hell you are!!!Now shut the fukk up and kiss me!”CD grabbed his face again and kissed him passionately.

“What was all that about?”Nate asked totally confused.He could never understand woman.One moment CD was kissing him then she was yealling at him and then she was kissing him again.

“I just had to let it all out”she replied smiling.

“I see.So…you’re not mad?”he asked hoping she wouldn’t start shouting again.

“No.I love you sugar”she kissed his cheek.

“I love you too…….pumpkin”Nate grinned.

“Dork”CD glared at him.

“Maybe, but I’m all your dork.And who, if I recall correctly, you are in love with.”Nate wrapped his hands aroung CD’s waist.

“I never said I wasn’t.But you’re still a dork”CD smiled and kissed him.

For the next few hours CD and Nate were lying on the couch cuddled together and enjoying each other’s company.Nate wasn’t paying any attention to the movie.He was thinking about CD.He realized what a dork he was being and couldn’t believe that he had hurted CD so badly.CD,meanwhile,was thinking about Nate.She was really happy he admitted his feelings and hoped that they would live happily ever after.

A week later Nate was cleared for the duty.He was happy he could come back to work because he was bored to death during that week off.Of course,CD would come to his place or he would come to hers, but he still was going crazy without seeing her at least once in a couple of hours.He just then realized that during those two years that CD and he had been working together,he was very gotten used to her.

Nate was walking down the corridor and when he stepped into the division everyone started shouting:

“Welcome back Nate!”

There was a big sign hung up that said “We missed you” and there were all his co-workers gathered.Raina was the first one to come and hug him.Nate,of course,hugged her back.

“Raina,I’m glad to see you too,but it’s hard to breathe”he teased.Raina immediately let him go.Then everyone hugged him as well ,except for CD.She stood behind everyone and was looking at the love of her life.Then she started walking towards him.She felt very strange.It was their first day at work as a couple.CD came to Nate and softly punched to his sholder.

“Welcome back”she smiled.All she wanted to do was to kiss him like there was no tomorrow,but they decided not to tell about their new relationship, so she tried to act like usual.

“So ,CD,want him back as your partner or you’re happy with Raina?”Kate asked when everybody got back to the work.

“I’m not sure.I’ll have to think about that”she teased.Nate just glared at her.

“I’m really glad you missed your partner”Nate sarcastically commented.

“I’m just kidding.Working with Raina is ok, but noone can compete with my good ol partner Nate.I mean I need someone to bring me coffee and stuff”CD grinned and Nate rolled his eyes.Kate understood CD was just kidding and said that Nate would work with CD and went to her office.

After half an hour they got a new case.They read the file that Cap had given them and left the division.As soon as they got in the car,they started kissing and making out.

“Someone can see us”Nate saidas he broke off the kiss.

“So ya want me to stop?”CD asked as she nibbled his earlobe.

“No…but we really…..have to go………to the crime……..scene”he whispered into her ear between the kisses.CD withdrew and giggled.

“What?”Nate asked.CD didn’t say a work but pointed to his pants.Now Nate knew why CD was giggling.There already was a big bulge.

“Ya sure you want to meet those people”CD teased.

“I have no choise”he smirked and turned on the car.CD started talking about the case,but Nate didn’t hear a word.The big bulge in his boxers didn’t let him to concentrate.All he could think about was CD and by the time they arrived to place, Nate was SURE he couldn’t get out of the car and show himself to the people because of his state.So he parked the car and shyly smiled.

“Um….I don’t think I should go there”he looked at CD.

“Ok,just stay in the car”she smiled and leaned forward to kiss him.Nate thought it would be just a little ‘good-bye’ kiss and responded to it, but CD had other ideas. She deepened the kiss and started stroking Nate’s leg.Then she broke off the kiss and smiled sweetly.

“Witch”Nate glared at her.

“Ten seconds ago you weren’t complaining”CD teased and got out of the car.
