Farve throws too many ints, he is older and it's time to go. Horrible performance tonight on MNF.

Wow your quick to jump off the bandwagon. I am not a Favre fan, but to be fair he is better than most of the QB's out there. If he retired Green Bay would be equal to the Bears in talent.

WEll they are playing like the Bears now so what difference does it make whether he retires or not? He is a bad QB

Well, I got some pretty bad news for you Sitcom Analyzer, Favre, who turned 34 on October 10th, hints he will play beyond the 2004 season!! Sorry but there is nothing you and/or I could do about that!!

He's a shell of what he use to be. Some great players just don't know when to retire. He played awful last night. Hopefully it was just his thumb and he will rebound but I don't think he'll ever be as good as he use to be.

McNabb was awful too for most of the game, and the Packers have no defense while the Eagles have a very good defense (except for stopping Ahman Green) . Favre was great last week. I wish he would retire, he has always been overrated in my mind.

The Eagles have a good passing defense-that's it

Play beyond the 2003 season for what? To throw more interceptions?

Brett Favre IS the Packers. He's a modern day legend. He's one of the great QB's of the last 10 years. He has so much confidence in his game that he can throw three interceptions and come back in the next quater and throw three touchdown passes. He is the man! You've gotta give him props for his toughness. Future hall of famer. I'm naming my first child after him....

He is going to the Hall of Shame.

Farve shouldn't be playing with his hurt hand.
His is selfishly trying to continue his starting QB record and screwing up his team.
This past game was a prime example of that.
He is a Hall of Famer, but he should know better or at least have some consideration for his teammates.

He's been on the downside of his career the last 3 or 4 years.

I think that he's sucking it up for his team. Who else would start in his place?

Doug Pederson is the backup.
He is an 11 year veteran.
Obviously he is not at the top of the quarterback class in the NFL but if Farve can't throw I'd take my shots with a healthy hand.
Oh and coincidently he led a comeback once against the Eagles:
Initial highlight of his pro career came in a 1993 contest at Philadelphia, when he entered the game after starter Scott Mitchell went out with a shoulder injury and directed the Dolphins to a 19-14, come-from-behind victory - giving Don Shula his 325th career

I think his problem is more mental than with his hand. He is similar to Elway, many amazing plays and many that are like what the *&$# was he thinking?? His hand was fin one week ago in the dome at Vikingville where he had a great game and was firing the ball with no problem. They need to get Hasselback back.

Anybody who thinks Favre isn't a Hall of Fame QB should be quiet because they obviously don't know football.

He's fumbling because of his thumb- the splint, the tape, whatever excuse his coach wants to make up for him next.
Why didn't he screw up the week before? Who knows- better taping, more pain killers, maybe he aggravated it and it got worse after the Viking game.
Point is his thumb is broken and he is playing and he is WAY too aware of his starting record.
And he has been on the downslide for the last 2 - 3 years.

He is on the downside, but there are many QB's who played a lot longer than him with great success. I dont think he takes much pain meds after his addiction.
He never seemed to be very good holding on to the ball. Sherman would get run out of town if he tried to replace Favre. There was actually a lot of talk of benching him a couple years back, but not lately.

If the Packers would have beaten the Eagles, you would have been calling him the MVP.

It's like when Elway & Marino retired in, respectively, 1999 & 2000, they went through musical chairs of quarterbacks since both are tough acts to follow and if Favre steps down, Pederson would only be the starter temporarily but the Packs would get a younger player who can last like Favre for a very, very, long time!!

Green Bay needs to get a quality backup because Favre isn't going to play forever.
