Pavanbadal - No Fantasy Island?

Pavanbadal, any idea why TVLand has removed Fantasy Island from it's schedule, only to replace it with more Leave it to Beaver?
Up until the middle of this week, FI was still scheduled to air, but all of a sudden, it's gone...

Yes, they just changed the schedule for 8-9pm yesterday or so. Leave it to Beaver will be airing for an hour 8-9pm weekdays starting Monday.

Thanks, Pavanbadal. They seem to still have the rights to Fantasy Island, and they didn't even show all the episodes .....any idea why TVLand decided to pull Fantasy Island? I'm very disappointed.....they put it on, only to yank it away without warning. Leave it to Beaver is on something like 5 times a day......boo.

It's probably due to ratings I guess. They for sure have the rights still. Also, starting Nov. 8, Leave it to Beaver will air 8-9pm on weekends too, replacing Brady Bunch & Happy Days.

Grrr . . . that sucks! Although I didn't watch Fantasy Island at 8, I would have that air than two episodes of Leave It To Beaver. Has TV Land gone mad or something? LITB already airs in the evening so why not bring back Brady Bunch and Happy Days to the 8:00 hour? Those shows don't air in the evening (except on weekends). At times TV Land just never thinks. Well, I guess I should plan to continue in not viewing TV Land at 8:00, 8:30, & 10:30 in the evening. That really bites.

Looks like I'll be saving on videotapes now that they're dumping Fantasy Island. There's no way I'll be taping Leave it to Beaver. A show that's been so over-played it's depressing.
If they had to replace FI, why can't they replace it with a show that hasn't been seen for a long, long time? Like Alice or One Day at a Time? Or Benson?

I Think it stinks badly. I Just became a fan of Fantasy Island when it came to TV Land and i havent even gotten a chance to see all the episodes yet. Hopefully they bring it back sometime.

Fantasy Island returns Nov. 21, airing Friday and Saturday nights (early Saturday and Sundays mornings) at 2 a.m. E/P, right after the TV Land Kitschen block.

Then starting in January, FI will air every morning at 4am starting Jan 1!
