Wilbur had a beautiful wife at home and yet he spent all his time in the barn with a horse.... Only in a 1960's sitcom. :)

Do you think they're still together today? I know, they don't really exsist. It's just something to think about.

I'd like to see a reunion movie with Wilbur and Carol as the older couple next door. Although I don't really belive in reincarnation, it would be cool if Mister Ed came back as a talking Parrot or something, so he could still be with the Posts.

Does anyone else feel that the writers tried to turn the Posts and Addisons into the Ricardos and Mertzes? Not just the fact that one couple is older, but also in the way that both Fred and Roger were "penny pinchers". If Larry Keating had lived longer, maybe the four of them would have gone to Hollywood for half a season. ;) Of course, Ed would have to come along.

I definitely think they're all still together today, in our hearts anyway.

Interesting observation on the Addison's and the Mertz's. There are similarities such as how Roger and Fred were both grumpy.

The casting was perfect on Mr. Ed. I wish it wasn't on so late as I fall asleep watching it sometimes.

Alan Young and Connie Hines are both alive
I don't know what Connie Hines is doing, but I think Alan Young still does public appearances.(I'm not sure about this) As for acting I don't know what's he's doing. I know he guest starred on ER a few years ago.

Larry Keating I belive was many years old than Edna Skinner. Just as William Frawley was older than Vivian Vance. But I have no idea if their off screen relationship was as contemptuous as Vance and Frawley. The two of them practically despised each other. I don't know how well Keating and Skinner got along. I don't know much about the history of this show.

How easy is this- Wilbur and Carol's grandchildren now live in the house with Ed's grandson in the barn. You could use a similar voice for Ed, similar looking horse and same personality as his grandfather.

Well since Alan Rocky Lane is dead. What about James Earl Jones since he has a deep resonant voice? He could say "Wilbur I am your father" lol. Just kidding.

There are so many voices, so many funny themes they could use. The one common theme I have found with big fans of the show I have talked to is that all of us would have loved to have our own talking horse.
