Hi:

Wondering if someone can help me. My sister was a "guest star" on an episode of rm 222, but I don't remember which one. She played a character - I believe her name was Halloran. In the episode, she joins the boys basketball team (my sis is quite tall) and became a star player. They don't discover she's a girl, however until after "the big game" or something like that. Anyway, I remember watching it with her way back when and I'd love to know how I could get hold of a tape of the episode or even the script. My sis - her name is Tracy Faucher- is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer and I thought it might cheer her up. Anyway, if you have an idead pls post it here and I'll read it and try to contact you. Thanks so much. It would mean a lot! melachric:wave:

I don't have a tape of this episode to copy for you, sorry, but just wanted to let you know I remember this episode well. :) (I'm a big "Room 222" fan.)

The episode of which you're speaking was #30, "Adam's Lib." I remember that a group of girls at school had formed WARP, or Women Are Real People, an on-campus Women's Lib group. Halloran (I can't remember her first name offhand) was an excellent basketball player, but was denied a tryout with the varsity team because she was a girl. Prodded by WARP, she wore a baggy grey sweatsuit with a hood to tryouts, and wiped up the floor with everyone. After the tryouts were over, she lowered her hood and revealed she was a girl. Now that he'd seen her in action, the coach had to re-think his position. The next morning he posted the list of those who'd made the varsity team, and Halloran was on it. Unfortunately, the boyfriend of the president of WARP, didn't make the team (Halloran had taken his place), and the WARP girl started to re-think her position as well.

I hope your sister has a smooth and quick recovery!
