We all know Dan Schneider lost weight by the 4th season in the season opener episode where the new students arrive and Dennis comes in wearing a "fat suit" then takes it off to reveal all the weight he had lost (I almost faint every time I watch it -he is so hot!) I have an article where Dan explains he went on a diet and exercised then hired a personal trainer. He gained alot of the weight back soon after that, though. I want to know if anyone else has come across articles or remembers anything about this subject. I'm just curious. But big or skinny-the man is still sexy!!!

Some people called this the moment when "HOTC" "jumped the shark." How can someone's weight be a factor as to how a show's popularity comes and goes? Come on, now!

I have read all those Jump the Shark posts and they are just plain mean. I think those people forget they are talking about a real person with feelings!

I know, when I read mean stuff like that I can't help but think about what if that particular actor stumbled across it. I'm sure some celebrities surf the web too. You can be a thick skinned person but it can still bother you to some degree. Not that people aren't allowed to speak their minds or that everything has to be peachy all the time but some people sink pretty low sometimes.

I just ran across something on the 'net that said Dan lost weight to try to get leading man type roles in movies, but never got them. I don't know if this is true. It also mentioned that Howard Hesseman gained alot of weight (huh?).

Actually I noticed that too! Hesseman seemed to gain a bit of weight between the first and second seasons, he looked different. Course, he had a new mustache too.

From the constant rewatching of my "HOTC" tapes, I noticed that. He did age the hardest throughout the seasons.
