Christopher Guest is a master of the mocumentary.
The casts in his movies are terrific too. He uses a lot of the same actors...Eugene Levy, Parker Posey, Fred Willard, Ed Begley Jr., Harry Shearer and Catherine O'Hara to name a few.

I don't know what else Guest has done, but I'll rent all his work. His movies are hilarious. I've seen these.

I like him in "The Princess Bride" as the six-fingered man.

He's damn funny! This is Spinal Tap and Best in Show had me laughing my ass off. Still haven't seen A Mighty Wind, but I plan on it. Anyway, the characters he includes in his movies (Parker Posey is one of my favorites) are right on.

Yep. He is married to Jamie Lee Curtis.

I love all his movies. "Waiting For Guffman" is a personal fave.

Guest also wrote and directed "The Big Picture" with Kevin Bacon, which is a very funny look at the film industry.

That film was a traditional film comedy, meaning it wasn't done in the "mockumentary" style he is famous for. I wonder if he'll do any more scripted comedy films?

Spinal Tap was good, and he had a small role in Little shop of horrors.
Michael McKean's a great actor, he was also in Clue, Coneheads- lotsa stuff.
He's gonna play Perry White in Smallville.

Guest also directed "Almost Heroes," a real stinker which was Chris Farley's last film before his untimely death. It also starred Matthew Perry.
I have no idea why Guest was involved with this film.
Maybe he owed someone money.

Ya know, before I found this thread, I never made the connection between the six-fingered Count Rugen and the guy behind "Spinal Tap". I also realize that I deserve any good-natured heckling I may recieve because of this.

Anyhooo, just got the DVD of "A Mighty Wind" and laughed all the way through it. That look on Christopher Guest's face in the last interview when Harry Shearer discussed his -- ahem -- changes, had me rolling on the floor.

I saw "A Mighty Wind" when it was in theaters on the day before Easter.Good Movie.

This is OT but Does anyone else think that Jamie Lee Curtis seems to be becoming a "Lesbian Psycho Mom"? I know she's straight (and married to CG) but COME ON! Start acting your age. What is that? 50? Remember when you used to do Equal commercials? Well stop snorting it and start using it again.LOL Sorry about my little rant :p.
