I recall on conversations of the past here about video tape brands, that several people including myself had put Maxell on their "bad" list. Well, I think I'm ready to put it back on my good list again. I recently purchased & used a Maxell Standard Grade 8-hour and a Maxell High Grade 6-hour, and after achieving great, if not superior results with them, in EP mode no less, I can't help but think Maxell is improving in quality. Maybe there was some sort of outcry to them, or just a bad batch of tape that we all seemed to get a hold of, I don't know, but the tapes I used were great. In fact, the Standard Grade 8-hour actually seemed to improve in picture quality the more I re-recorded, which is really unusual...anyway, does anyone who's used Maxell lately notice this?
