Congrats, to Hilary Duff!... Her single, "So Yesterday" is this week's Hot Shot Debut on Billboards Hot 100. It debuted at #53- and it got more plays than any other new song

Thanks to "Why Not," the Lizzie McGuire Movie soundtrack has been certified platinum (1,000,000 copies sold,) and it's getting near double platinum.

Sorry to be the killerjoy, but 12-year old girls aren't to be credited for this. "So Yesterday" is this weeks Hot Shot Debut because of RADIO AIRPLAY. ;)

That, yeah. But "So Yesteday" (which isn't part of the movie soundtrack) is successful because of mainstream airplay.

I thank Hilary Duff for her first single off her first non-soundtrack album. "So Yesterday" was the first to reach the top of the hit list. Her early hit from the "Lizzie McGuire" TV soundtrack was "I Can't Wait" was heard on Radio Disney at the time. I will like to listen to Hilary's new song when it hit the radio stations across New York State. Wherever in the Hudson Valley, the song is now playing on K104/K107. Wherever in the NYC area, the song is now playing on Z100 and Radio Disney. Thanks, Hilary Duff for making her first hit on the charts!
