I liked the movie. The movie was funny as hell. Tom Hanks was so funny. Dan Akyroyd did everything by the book. This is a classic movie & i like the theme song too. Who was the woman in the movie who Dan liked? She was pretty.

Dan Aykroyd and Tom Hanks was good casting; a very fun to watch buddie team. I've watched the movie a number of times. It comes on Starz or one of those movie channels from time to time and draws me in. I always look forward to the 'laugh out loud' fun. The actresse's name who played the virgin Connie was, I believe, Elizabeth Ashley.

I really like the "Dragnet" movie too.

The funniest bit is when Tom Hanks yells "Thank God it's Friday!"

That just cracks me up.

Actually, Elizabeth Ashley played police commissioner Nancy
Kirkpatrick. The virgin Connie Swail was played by Alexandra Paul,
who is better known as Lt. Stephanie Holden on Baywatch.

Don't forget Harry Morgan was also in the '87 film Dragnet as Bill Gannon! The film was really related to the 60's tv series I guess. I like Elizabeth Ashley.

Dan Aykroyd's impression of Jack Webb was perfect. Funny movie. I think Jack
would have liked it. It's nice that they managed to get Harry Morgan (from the
1968 series). Alexandra Paul (BAYWATCH) was the girl.

there's a good reason why Dan Ackroyds impression of Jack Webb was so good. When they were filming the movie, he used to listen to tapes of the show during breaks in the filming, and I think he used to watch some of the episodes, too.

That movie is hilarious! I loved it! I had completely forgotten about Tom Hanks being in it! I'm sure it put the TV show to shame but I still :rotflmao: :rotflmao: whenever I hear some of those lines.

Spoiler......

Like at the end when Dan Akroyd (who has been calling Connie Swail "the virgin Connie Swail"), simply refers to her as "Connie Swail" and Tom Hanks goes "Don't you mean "the virgin Connie Swail?" The look that Dan gives him is priceless!
