Oh, yes. I forgot that or it would be on my list. I like that show a lot. I've seen it really late at night a few times lately. Walter Brennan and Dack Rambo were good.

I don't watch many Westerns, but I like most with John Wayne. My favorite is "Rio Bravo", but that's because Rick Nelson is in it.

One of the best movies ever made. Director Hawkes later ripped off his own masterpiece to make the film "El Dorado," which, while perhaps not quite so great, is still very good.

Well, I'm not sure about 10, but I go in order until I come to the end of what I'd consider favorites:

1) Lone Ranger
2) Wild, Wild West
3) Big Valley
4) Gunsmoke
5) Daniel Boone
6) Rifleman

I guess that's it. I can't think of any others at the moment.

3. The Outcasts

4. F-Troop. (Okay, technically, this is a sitcom, but it's set in the old west, as is...)

5. Best Of The West.

6. The Rifelman (Da-dum-dum de-dum-dum--DOM-DE-DOM-DOM-DOOMMM!!!)

7. High Chapperelle (Okay, I barely remember this one, but it did have a slammin' theme song!!)

8. Wanted: Dead Or Alive.

9. Rawhide.("Rollin, rollin', rollin...")

I remember it. I have about 10 episodes on tape. The highlight of this show, of course, is Walter Brennan. No matter what T.V. show or movie he appears in, he looks like he really did just step out of the old west. He looked like he was really living in the late 1800's.
Anyway, here's my top 10:

#1... The Rifleman
#2... Bonanza (a strong #2, very close to being #1)
#3... Wild Wild West
#4... Kung Fu (a strong #4, almost #3)
#5... Guns of Will Sonnett
#6... Death Valley Days (a very long run- '52-'75)
#7... Lone Ranger
#8... Big Valley
#9... Gunsmoke
#10. Wagon Train

The Rifleman & The Lone Ranger can be seen uncut monday-friday on World Harvest Television Network. If you have satellite, it can be found on G-4 transponder 15. They appear to be airing The Lone Ranger in broadcast order because they've been playing the John Hart episodes for the last 5 weeks. I thought Hart was good in the role but damn I miss Clayton. The episodes of both series are shown with no on screen logos, voice overs or spilt screens. By the way, The Lone Ranger airs at 4:30 P.M. E.S.T. & The Rifleman airs at 5 & 5:30. As for Death Valley Days. If anyone has this on tape, please let me know. I have the episodes being offered on Ebay & would like to find more.

I have about 80% of the Rifleman episodes on tape already. Taped that about 15 years ago on "CBN."

I would like to tape some "Lone Ranger" and "Death Valley Days" shows- I only have about 5-10 episodes from store-bought tapes.

Thanks for the airing info.

Gunsmoke is far superior to any western that has or will probably every air on television. I do think it would be interesting to see a western like that on network TV today.
