Hi, i use to watch Roseanne once in a while and recently i have been watching every single one and absolutley love this show.
In season 9, does anyone if there is a reason for making fun of Fran Drescher In the episode where Roseanne and Jackie go to the charity event in New York with Nancy, in the beginning Roseanne takes a stab at the Nanny. Then i noticed in the episode, where DJ and his girlfriend go to the movies and try to get tickets for star wars the ticket lady says "that star wars is sold out, but there are plenty of tickets for the beautician and the beast".

Roseanne guest starred on the fourth season premiere of The Nanny entitled "The Morning After" she played Cousin Sheila it aired October 1st 1997, after the halloween episode of Roseanne, so I think she was just having fun not hating.
NB: Ben Thomas her then husband also guest starred
Roseanne also guest starred on 3rd Rock From the Sun around the same time.

I didn;t see her on "The Nanny," but she was great on "3rd Rock."
Laurie Metcalfe also did a few episodes of "3rd Rock" as the girlfriend that everybody loves, but started to get on Dick's nevers because she was so smart. I think she got an emmy nod for that.
And Tommy, played by Joseph Gordon Levitt, played an occasional character on Roseanne and DJs super boring friend George.
It was interesting how much cross-over there was between these two series because they initially aired opposite each other in the spring of 1996.

You do see actors in some of your other favorite shows every once in a while. Micheal Fishman was in an episode of Seinfeld. When George was in what I think was the yogurt or ice cream shop.
