If no one on the show is supposed to age, then how come the octuplets did? They went from being newborns to a little older than Maggie. Is this supposed to be a joke about those shows that had newborn babies age by several years between seasons?

They probably just thought that older children would be more annoying to Apu, and provide more laughs. That is a good observation; I've never thought of that.

why don't the simpsons kids age a bit more like maybe go to the next grade in school... They would be in high school by now.... :lol:
