Anyone think there's a chance of Oxygen or Lifetime trying to aquire "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"?

Hmmm...I don't know about Oxygen, but I'm pretty sure Lifetime wouldn't even touch it. I think they'd rather acquire "newer" shows from the 80's and 90's, mostly 90's. Other than N@N or TV Land, I think Mary Tyler Moore would be better suited for either Hallmark Channel or GoodLife.

I'm no longer watching Oxygen anymore. I'll buy "The Birds," "Misery," and "Psycho" on tape, so I don't even have to worry about missing those movies. Oxygen is acting really potheaded. Why put on a show that is going to be on another channel four times a night anyway? I can see the promos now...."Watch ROSEANNE four times every DAY instead of watching it four times every NIGHT because watching it four times a DAY in better than watching it four times a NIGHT because we have a black bar on our screen and plus, not many people have us anyway! OH! OH! OH!" They drop "Kate & Allie" but keep that porn show "Bliss"!??! Good-bye, Oxygen, you are no longer any good for me!

So now Roseanne is going to become the new Cosby Show. With 8 airings a day on cable and countless others on locals. *sighs*

When will these networks ever realize that viewers want just a little more variety in the choices they offer? To have Roseanne available on every other cable channel, while shows like Alice, One day at a Time and others just collect dust is unfair--but no one said TV watching should be about what the viewers want to see anyway--not that viewers don't want to see Roseanne, but to have it on so many times a day is ridiculous.
Looks like Oxygen will be one of those networks that I won't watch--not that I do now anyway. :(

The only reason that I'd watch "Oxygen" would be for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" because I'll be in school when that's on in syndication.I MIGHT watch 1 or 2 episodes of "Roseanne" but I mean, Does anyone really need 8 episodes of "Roseanne" a day? Oxygen has the rights to "Grace Under Fire" but they never air it! That show hasn't been aired in years!

Mmm hmm, you said it right there. One Day at a Time used to air on E!, but that's been quite a few years. I'd love to see it again, but with yet another network hell-bent on showing the same show(s) over and over again, well.. we all know how that goes.

Where's Grace Under Fire? Don't Brett Butler and Dave Thomas deserve to be seen and start getting residuals again? This show has more a lot more episodes than Cybill, yet Oxygen let's it collect dust.

That's what I said about The Cosby Show before it came to N@N.
