Yes, Zone1, some people narrowed it down to their #1 favorite episode and some did not. Probably some people here, as anywhere, have no single favorite episode. I personally consider this OK (and I'm sure you do too, Zone1, let there be no misunderstanding about that; you are a very live-and-let-live kind of guy). Possibly there is a school of thought that believes there are two basic kinds of Twilight Zone fans, those who have a favorite episode of the Twilight Zone and those who don't. Which one of those categories one falls into no doubt says something interesting about a person; interesting but, I believe, in the general scheme of things, not too significant.

I happen to belong to the first category, and my favorite episode of the Twilight Zone is "Kick The Can." This is not only my favorite episode of the Twilight Zone, but my favorite episode of any television series. Even this statement cannot fully express my admiration and affection for this episode. From my point of view, the single Twilight Zone half-hour episode "Kick The Can" is, without question, great enough, powerful enough, wondrous and moving and tragic enough, to justify the existence of the whole medium of television, through its entire, mostly sorry history, all by itself. (I have sincere doubts whether "Kick The Can"'s greatness is sufficient to single-handedly justify the existence of humankind, through its entire and, to a large extent, sorry history; but then, it doesn't need to be.)

I am fully aware that there are people in our world who do not, and never will, enjoy "Kick The Can." I try to accept this as a fact of our universe that I cannot change. :eek4:

Okay, let me think. Um, hmm I would say if I had to choose just one ep, this is quite hard to narrow it down. I would say 'Time Enough @ Last'. I love that episode and Burgess

Mr B, Bevis,
I saw the blame reference LOL, Au contraire, Monsieur,
people will be thanking me to no ends for me bringing u ( Mr Bevis) here :) , and I am sure more people will want to stay here if they see your posts.
Yet people will blame BRY for bringing me here, LOL
, sorry BRY....
You know me so well, I am happy if people do or don't have a favorite episode of TZ, you are right it is not significant if they do or don't, it just attests to the fact that TZ is not always clear cut, thus the Best Show ever IMHO.
For the longest time, I could not choose which I liked better WIE? or The Lonely. I love them both for different reasons, WIE? eventually just inched out TL by a fraction.

So Bevis, do u like Kick The Can? LOL.... wow your response was phenomenal, I hope they air it more. I grew in apperciation of it b/c of u sir. You are a true gentleman, and A true TZ Fan, you are among great company

Happy posting, I am glad u like it here

Um . . . yeah, it's OK, I guess.:)

Thanks for the kind words and optimistic prediction, Zone1. Now I know how Bruce Springsteen must have felt after the "I have seen the future of rock and roll, and its name is Bruce Springsteen" quotation. ;) I'll be happy enough not to scare any other fans away.
