Hi everyone.. I'm new here. Roseanne is one of my favorite shows. I love watching the reruns on TBS every afternoon.
My favorite episodes are from the first four or five seasons. I especially like the episode entitled "Toto, We're Not In Kansas Anymore," which is the tornado episode. I also like the episode when the entire family goes to the mall for a big sale. Roseanne forces Dan to go to the shoe store for new shoes and he waits a really long time to get the shoes. Dan ends up returning the shoes so that Rosey can buy Becky the dress she wanted for her dance. They also run into Crystal at the mall.. she just loves everything there and then gets even luckier when she sees finds out there is a blue light special on Towels. I also remember episodes that took place at the bowling alley, as well as the many wonderful scenes at the Lobo.
The episodes that deal with Roseanne working at Wellman, the hair salon, and Rodbells are also great. The supporting cast was fabulous and everyone played a part in making the show so great. The Conners were a great family who were trying to make ends meet. Dan was a great construction worker who worked with Four Aces Construction. The neighbors, Gerry and Kathie Bowman, along with young son Todd (D.J.'s friend) were great with Rosey. Bev was an excellent character, as was, of course the great John Goodman as Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf as Roseanne's loving sister Jackie, only son D.J. (David Jacob), Darlene, Becky (especially Lecy Goranson's Becky), and of course Crystal, Dan's drunken father Ed, Lonny (Crystal's son from another marriage), Mary Anne, Chuck (Dan's Friend) Bonnie (Rosey's waitress friend), Arnie Thomas (Get it.. Tom Arnold backwards :)), and Nancy.
I just really love this show a lot!! Luckily I get to watch FIVE (5) episodes a day. It's too bad TBS sensors a lot of the curses. It takes away from the greatness of the show and Roseanne. I really enjoyed the first four-five seasons, but the later seasons were, in my opinion, just "okay."
