LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Kirstie Alley has become the patron saint of CBS original movies.
The Emmy-winning actress' latest collaboration with the network will be "A Matter of Family," produced by Sony Pictures TV. This will mark Alley's sixth CBS telefilm in as many years.
"Family" focuses on an ostensibly normal suburban family, respected in their community for their work with foster children. Their perfect image is destroyed when it's revealed that the foster children are being used for slave labor.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is written by Donald Martin ("Never Too Late" ) and will be directed by Graeme Clifford.
Clifford has helmed Alley in several of her recent CBS projects including this year in "Profoundly Normal" and in the two "The Last Don" miniseries. Alley has also appeared on the eye network in "The Salem Witch Trails" and "Blonde."
An early effort with CBS, 1994's "David's Mother" also led to an Emmy. She also received an Emmy in 1991 for her work on NBC's "Cheers."
