Anyone watch GoodDayLive today? Simon was on and had some "real juicy gossip." Well, the gossip was that Clay had known 5 minutes before the show started that Ruben had already won. He said that Ryan was really sick so they had to write the name of the winner on a card and Clay had accidently seen the name. You could never tell that he knew!

It really didn't seem like he did. They probably had to tell him to be super-careful not to spill the news, because if he had accidentally said something Fox would have probably lost all their viewers, because I know it drove some people (including myself) crazy having to wait so long to hear the results.

I know! I didn't see the show, but my mom watches it, and she told me about it. Then I saw the clip of GoodDayLive on Access Hollywood. On that show, Ryan was interviewed and said he didn't believe it, because how would Simon know. I've seen the replay of Ryan announcing the winners, and I sorta think Clay did know. He had this look on his face like it. Ruben was just starring straight ahead, and Clay was grabbing Ruben and looking at him like he knew. Of course it's so subtle, maybe I'm full of beans. If it did happen, I'd like to see Clay's reaction after actually reading the card. That must have been where Simon could tell Clay knew.

And what is with this stuff about 1,300; 13,000; 130,000? That confusion was on Access Hollywood too. So what is the difference between the votes? On CNN, they said 130,000 was the real number, but Ryan said on Access Hollywood, that the card said 1300 the second time. Did anyone notice how he announced that a little strange when he made the correction? He goes, "It is still close." Well, duh! It's closer now with that new number, Ryan! One would say "still close" if the number increased, which makes me wonder if the card really did say 130,000, but he read it wrong, yet saw it right. After all, the guy was real sick! I just don't know.

I think Clay may have known, he acted like he did, the way he looked at Ruben and he just seemed like he already knew. He was a very gracious runner-up.

yeah, it could possibly be true. I know if I was him and I knew I don't know if I would be able to perform. If it's true you have to give him credit, I mean Clay went out there and sang his heart out without showinga bit of resentment! I hope the rumor isn't true though.

I watched Clay and Ruben on Larry King Live tonight. Clay said he saw the card and he could see it was a long name on it, and assumed it couldn't be him because "Clay Aiken" is a short name. So he didn't actually read the name "Ruben Studdard," but he had a good idea.

And the figure was closer to 135,000.

They weren't on Larry King too long. I was hoping it would have been a full hour, but no, they simply must talk about Laci Petersen some more. I was hoping for a more pleasant hour of Larry King. Oh well. At least you didn't miss much. I was really disappointed that the figure was bigger. I wanted it to only be about a 1000 difference between the votes. Even though I was glad Ruben one, a closer race would have been cool. At least I know Clay will have a great career ahead. I like them both.
