1,000 votes? 1,000 votes? 1,000 ****ing votes?!?!? I got over 1,000 busy signals Tuesday night! Maybe FOX actually counted all of the votes. Sorry but this just is not mathematically possible. Die fox. Die american idol. AI 3 suxs. the only good thing that has come out of me watching AI this season is my new found role model Clay and my love carmen. everything else has sucked.

Oh yes, for American Idol to be good, YearbookLoser SIMPLY MUST have had it his way! I don't get why you're bringing up the closeness with the votes. Are you trying to say if you hadn't gotten all the busy signals, you would have been the deciding votes with over 1000 more for Clay? Because I'm sure a bunch of Ruben fans can say they got a thousand busy signals too. Rueben won fair and square, dude! And hey, Clay will have a career, so don't get in a tizzy. They were both deserving of winning(both are very talented). They both get record contracts anyway. Clay's unreleased single is Amazon.com's #1 selling CD and Ruben's is #386, so now with the "American Idol" title it will help Ruben out with record sales and both will be sucessful. I did think Ruben did get way more hype than Clay did, and 1300 votes doesn't mean 1300 different people seeing that you can vote multiple times. I did find this article to be interesting though.

That's funny because I knew a lot more Clay fans than Ruben fans, so I was sure he was gonna win, like I hoped. Ohwell Clay will make it BIG though. I think Clay thoughthe was going to win too, but I liked how he had such a supportive attitude towards Ruebn after he won.

they are supposed to come out in the same week. they had stuff about it on our local news last night. i live on the outskirts of Charlotte, NC (Clay attends school in Charlotte) so they have stuff about him on the news and in our newspapers every single day.

When Justin Guarini was on TRL, he said that when he was given a contract, the rule was his album could not come out before Kelly's. (Maybe it wasn't TRL, but I definitely heard it somewhere.) If that rule still applys, then Ruben's will be earlier in the week. Not much of a difference though. But Big Time Clay fans should be really glad about that. Sure he's Mr. Runner-up, but he's not getting slighted at all.

I think it's so silly that people are saying "AI" was rigged just because Ruben won. Especially since the week before Ryan Seacrest said there was less than a 2% difference between Ruben and Clay.

I wanted Clay to win also. The only song that Ruben sang, that I actually liked - that I heard, was "Sweet Home Alabama". And I read that article and I never actually thought of Kelly's album selling 1.3million copies as 25% of the viewers actually buying it, but if you think about it that way, their right lol. Not that many people that watcehd the show actually bought her album. I heard her album only has like 6 or 8 songs.
