For some reason I just DON'T like Clay, I don't know why but there's something about him, that I just don't like. He is ugly, to me, but that hasn't got anything to do with who should win in my opinion. Clay forgot the words to that song the other night, and that just proved my point, he isn't THAT good. He can sing a little bit. But he, in my opinion, BUTCHERED Unchained Melody. That is my favorite song and when he sang it, it just didn't float my boat AT ALL. It was terrible. I just don't find his voice pleasant to listen too. And he is so cocky on stage. I don't know. Maybe I'm the crazy one, but there are a LOT of other crazy folks out there who think the same as me.

Ruben, has got class, and that's an important trait, he takes his singing seriously, but he doesn't take himself too seriously. And I'd definitely buy his CD's. Unlike Clay.

For your information Clay has a reason for forgetting a FEW words. 25 minutes before the show started he was told to add another verse by the producers. The judges didn't even know this because it was such a last minute change. And if Clay's looks aren't a reason that you don't like him, then why'd you mention it?

Thats just the thing though. All of Ruben's fans take offense to things people say on here. A lot of people say that he cannot sing, and that when he sings that its boring. i think all u clay fans need to pipe down.....Clay is not goodlooking in my opinion, but he can carry a few notes....but not all..of them.as IDOJ said -"he butchered Unchained Melody" that sounded absolutley AWFUL! ( Justin's version wasnt much better) - we're not the judges we have no idea what goes on in their mind....maybe they do want a decent looking american idol if we're going to have to see them everywhere until the next version is on.....they are the true experts that know what they're looking for..for that someone that all the fans love and who just lights up the stage WITH A SMILE everytime they get up there...with a special glow that makes everyone go wild. i think this truly describes Ruben....and i think he will win,....i mean he was the one that had all the police escorting him everywhere so that he wouldnt be mobbed by crazy fans....ppl respect him , for making it this far, and love his innocent personality instead of the cockiness that clay portrays.......he better not think he has it won...because hes got ANOTHER thing COMIN!

There is so much ignorance in your post that I don't even know where to begin. First of all, the THE BOY CAN SING. If you don't think that he can then you are just in denial. Clay sounded absolutley amazing when he sang Unchained Melody. If anyone butchered it, it was Justin. (How he was number two last year simply amazes me). Neither Clay or Ruben have the look of a typical pop star so I don't what you're getting at there. The reason why Ruben is always smiling is because the boy has no people skills. Just because Clay actually TALKS, it doesn't make him cocky. To be the American Idol, you've got to be able to actual be able to talk people and give responses other than "I don't really know what to say". All of the American Idols are escorted places by policemen.. it's not just a Ruben thing. You can continue to push Ruben all you want, but until you vote, your opinion means nothing. I'm completely convinced that Clay has smoked Ruben in votes. Clay's never been in the bottom three because us Aikenites are dedicated. For example, Clay's single is already the number one selling single at Amazon and it hasn't even been released! Clay is a great role model for young teens and he is exactly what the music industry needs.

Whoa!! Looks like things have gotten out of hand since the last time I posted here. It seems I fueled some fires around here, and started some spats. That was not the purpose of my post. I was just stating my opinion about Ruben and Clay. I was in RANT mode when I posted that, so I may have been harsh. BUT why has everyone jumped all over Redhead and Leah's backs. Especially Leah's back, what did she do to you people?

GrossAdler Leah is not a disrespectful person, you saying that shows that you don't know her. Therefore, YOU are insulting someone you don't know yourself. Leah didn't start this Jabby fight. No one did actually.

I think this is just a HEATED debate over a show that obviously a number of us members have become engulfed in, therefore, a few toes have been stepped on. I really hope Ruben wins. I loved the way he gave God all the credit for how far he has come. However, if Clay wins, that will be okay too. Clay seems to be a really great person too. They are both great people, which is the way a real American Idol should be. They both equally deserve it, I however, am more fond of Ruben.

By the way, it's very childish and immature to diss people just because of their opinions. So what if someone dosent agree with you? Accept their opinion, and get over it. There's nothing wrong with having different opinions. What's important is that you accept others opinions, and that you can support your opinion without bringing others down.
