I have GOOD news!!!!! REALLY good news!!!!!

First, J&M and Tony are not being backburned for a long time, they are just going to be backburned for a short time. They are ending this J/M/T triangle. One reason for the backburning is also that Drake Hogestyn got put on Jury Duty. But he's back, and they aren't going on the backburner at ALL! And Marlena is returning!!! THE REAL MARLENA!!! Tony starts to go after SAMI!! And Marlena starts to realize what a SLEAZE he is and "begins to hate him maybe even more than John!!" that is a direct quote, she begins to HATE him just like JOHN!!! Tony stops trying to get with Marlena, also!! J&M get a new storyline, which involves the ISA.

Second, Days has been renewed for 5 more years!!!!!! WHICH IS GREAT!!!!!

Third, DENA HIGLEY WAS FIRED!!!!!!!! The new head writer is.......
drum roll please....................................................................
JAMES E. REILLY!!! REILLY IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was headwriter from 93 to 98 and wrote the best storylines I've seen on Days!!! I'm SO HAPPY!!!

MONY IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS SHOW IS GOING TO LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MABYE EVEN BECOME GREAT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When was it announced or revealed that Dena Higley was fired and that James
Reilly is taking over? When is this
suppose to happen or has it already happened? This is the best news I've heard in a long time. My prayers have finally been answered, well actually alot of fans prayers have answered. But, isn't James Reilly the headwriter for Passions? Is he going to be headwriter for both soap operas or is someone else taking over Passions? Hopefully with this news, Days is going to rise again to the best.

This was posted at Dee's Official Board, BUT, I really don't think that everyone is supposed to know about this yet. By that I mean CJ and Dee could both get into trouble, for spilling the beans. But I HAD to let you guys know. I do not know when his episodes will start airing, or if he is still writing for Passions. But this is RELIABLE info. I'm SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

To late, alot of people know about this already. I belong to soap opera board, and the Days fans already know about it

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but if it's true, this is more good news. Supposedly the pairing of Brady and Nicole has been canned because of a
website called soapaddict or something
like that, that's what I heard anyway,
but I don't know how true that is.

All I gotta say is "THANK YOU KEN CORDAY". I'm glad he finally wised
up. Let's just hope Ken Corday keeps
this new attitude!!

I think NBC told Kenny he better fix his show or it was getting the boot. :lol: All I can say is I'm glad!!! Frankly I could care less who they put Brady with, it doesn't matter to me, but it is a disservice to Broe fans. I'm really excited, but I'm being very cautious as well. We've all been burnt so many times by the writers, you can't completely trust until you see it. I do trust Reilly, though. :faint: Oh dear God. He will ruin Days just like he ruined Passions. This is terrible news Jeannie. All the couples will be like Shuis, Gram, Chaguel, and some other couples on Passions. I can't believe this. He'll take Marlena and kill her and then bring her back so many times, just like Sheridan. Do you know what this means Jeannie? Days is a second Passions now :(

I don't know about that, I've heard all good things about him when he was headwriter for Days. Granted, he was either co-writer or headwriter for "Marlena's Posession" storyline, but that was an awesome storyline. Plus, I've heard that he was an excellent writer when it came to John and Marlena. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

OMG! OMG! OMG!!!!! ::jumps up and down:: I'm so happy!! I was really hoping that Days would get renewed. It's also awesome that James E. Reilly is back. He had some of THE best storylines in the past. I can't wait to see what he has in store :)

Chris, Reilly has written for Days before and he doesn't write Days like he writes Passions. Granted he does indeed drag things out, this is going to be a change for the best. Reilly CAN write for Jarlena. It really depends on whether he wants to or not, which I'm sure he does. They were really his "special project" when he was head writer before, everything he wrote was a showcase for them.

Reilly was fantastic on DAYS. He was much better then he has done for PASSIONS in the past 2 years. He destroyed Passions that it's a complete mess. With DAYS, he was awesome.

I have a bad feeling Passions will continue to be ruined and he'll write for both soaps.

James Reilly was with DAYS from 1993-1997. or somthing like that.

I watched his entire run, and stopped gradually after he left. I watched again during the brilliant Brash/Cwikly run, and stopped again once they left. Dena Higley was an awful choice, I mean, the show is so lame now.

I hate JER right now. He is replacing Tabitha on Passions with Charlie. Fans of Passions won't be seeing Tabitha that much, it will be Charlie :barf: taking her place trying to kill people and causing pain. The writers and creator - JER are idiots! :mad:

I hope that JER didn't write Days of Our Lives anything like Passions. I never watched Days under JER, but I *used* to be a big Passions fan. What I would love to see, as long as JER will be doing Days, would be a complete change in writing staff, etc., for Passions, but I don't think that's going to happen. :(
