I ain't trolling....I watched this show a lot on prime time during its original run. I just think it was a sad and depressing show.Considering the sad and pathetic lives of the cast, it makes it more so. Anyone else find it so ???

I agree..I've noticed that Dana, Todd, and Gary all had problems in their lives after DS went off the air..Todd was arrested..Gary's height and how he wants to forget DS..and, well, Dana's death. But, in a way I think it was their lives. We can't change them..just watch the show and try to forget about all the scandals..

I always loved this show growing up, but now, I guess I feel really bad when I see it. Seeing Kimberly really creeps me out.

Not me. I just think of Kimberly as .....Kimberly.

the only "creepy" thing about Kimberly was that she was too perky. Yes, Dana Plato, the actress, is dead. But that doesn't mean Kimberly is dead. look at how popular I LOVE LUCY is to this very day, all 4 stars of that show is dead now. The fact that Lucille, Desi, Vivian and William are all dead doesn't take away from that show.

True, but the cast members of I Love Lucy didn't die in the way Dana Plato did.

Where the Lucy cast just died of natural causes from old age, Dana Plato wasn't even forty yet, and she could've lived many more years if not for her drug addiction.

I can understand where the other posters are coming from... the circumstances of her death (and Todd Bridges' arrest record...) have cast a sort of creepy shadow over the show.

For a long time after Dana Plato's death I could not watch an episode - it was too emotional for me, but as time passes I have been able to watch them. I like to remember the happy times in their lives, they were on top of the world in the early 80's. Unfortunately, they all came troubled families and were not really well prepared for life after DS.

Did people stop watching them in the late 80's/early 90's when all of their problems were well-publicized? A few, perhaps, but I know they still had a loyal following.

Wow, SoFl123 you seem to have brought up quite a lot of old topics.

I think it is sad to watch the show to think what happaned to the cast but I don't think you can keep thinking about it when you're watching it or you just wouldn't enjoy the show.
