Steven Weber In "The Producers"

I know that Steven Weber replaced Matthew Broderick in the Broadway musical "The Producers", but I seem to remember that Steven didn't stay in the role very long.

I may be wrong, but it seems that he only appeared in the show for a brief time.

If this is indeed the case, does anyone know why?

I wish that Steven could find a role or series that really takes advantage of his comedy talent. For some reason he just hasn't been able to "click" in anything long-lasting since "Wings".

I'd love to see him in another TV show too. It looks like none of them have been successful with TV since Wings ended, although Monk looks like it's doing pretty well.

Steven was on the producers for nine months and he left on Dec. 15th ... Im still trying to find out why
