Who owns the rights?

I was hoping somebody can help me. I have been asked by someone who currently owns the rights to Leave it to Beaver? I have absolutely no idea. I figure it isn't Turner. Can it be Viacom? I'd appreciate it if someone can help me out. Thanks.

Universal TV owns it, and is Distrubted by The Program Exchange.

Currently TV Land is airing the episodes of Leave it to Beaver.

But they do not own it, just lease it.

That's right. TV Land has the show leased for a various number of days and when that lease runs out, they can no longer air the show until they get a new lease. That is what just happened with Leave It To Beaver on TV Land. That is why it's been dropped from their line-up, unfortunately.

Someone tells me that TV Land's contract expires May 27, 2001...so maybe we will see it one more time, if not it is gone!
