Did June sleep with her pearls and/or high heels on?

I have seen her sleep with her gown.

She had some growth under her neck is why she wore the pearls.

For years June Cleaver has been the butt of jokes about doing housework in dressy clothes and pearls. I could never understand
why this charachter was targeted when Harriet Nelson, Donna Reed, Jane Wyatt even Lucille Ball all wore the same "uniform of the tv housewife of the 50s". When you watch these shows everyone was more or less dressed up even the men. No woman was seen in pants unless she was hiking or outdoors. They all wore hats when they went anywhere, and most of these tv wives could be seen vacuuming in heels baking with an apron over a frilly dress. Thanks, just had to get that off my chest.

You're so right. And the guys wore suits everywhere, birthday parties, baseball games, everywhere. Is that how things really were then? Or is that just TV's version of things?

Look at The Andy Griffith Show, remember the episode where Opie wrote that paper about the Battle of Mayberry? He had to wear a suit just to go to the library in Mt. Pilot! That would be so odd to see a guy in a suit in the library in today's times.
