All this makeup talk has got me thinking about hair. How do you style it? What products do you use to wash/style it? Do you have a list of what you do? Are you more concerned with your hair or makeup? Any gripes about it? What kind of hair do you have?
Im more into my hair. Given, Im not a hair person, but when I do it I put in the effort. What pisses me off is that I cant curl it. One side will curl, and the other side wont--WTF?! Ive used hot rollers, styrofoam rollers, those bending ones (THEY SUCK!!), and hot rollers seem to work the best. If you use the small styrofoam rollers on medium length hair, you wind up looking like Shirley Temple! My hair is past my shoulders and just about reaches my bra strap. I recently got it layered so now the layers are even shorter then that- looks good. I also grew out my bangs (finally!). My hair type is fine/thin and oily. I always used to think my hair was thick, but its not- its thin, but I just have a lot of it which gives the illusion of thickness. I also have one crazy part that makes me look like Im balding:eek:. For shampoo I use TIGI Bedhead- I dont like conditioner. If Im styling my hair, I use like, 5 products. When I style, I basically just make it straight-- I dont do anything fancy to it. I like my hair straighter than it already is! First I put in my TIGI Bedhead Superstar blowdry stuff.. took me a while to figure out what the hell it was! Then I use the Back To Basics Liquid Lift for my roots. I also spray in a little Loreal Studio Volumatic root-lift spray gel. Then I blow dry and brush out with my head flipped over. Then Ill spray some Vidal Sassoon Thickening Spray and add some Back To Basics Sleek Creme and blowdry again. When its all dry Ill finish it with the Bedhed Control Freak and *maybe* aeresol spray. Usually takes me like, 15 minutes. If I dont domy hair and just let it air dry it gets all flat and has a few light waves--UGH!

I just wash it, dry it, and go. In the hotter weather or at work, I wear it up. I'm not too concerned about my hair. As long as it's neat and clean, I don't mind.

I wash it, (sometimes) brush it, and that's all I do. I don't mess with barrettes or rubber bands or anything like that.

I just got my haircut like three days ago and it's not quite shoulder length just a lil shorter, when I straighten it it looks so pretty! Here's what I do everytime I go out...
I Use Finesse 2 in 1 while washing it.
Straighten it until it looks longer, flatter, and straighter (my hair naturally curls and is wavy and I hate that so I do this I use 'Hot tools professional' it works really good if ya want straight hair.)
Thermasilk hairspray
and of course I brush it.

My hair is really short. I use gel to spike it, or sometimes I'll style it into a kind of mohawk. I'll sometimes paint parts of the back and sides and the tips of my spikes with hair mascara - I have this shade of electric blue which looks really cool.
I'm thinking of getting lines shaved into my hair. Even though I'm the only woman in my town who has a hair style like mine I still think it's kinda boring - it needs jazzing-up!
At weekends (when I don't have to go out into town) then I usually won't bother styling my hair at all - I'll just wear a baseball cap so noone sees it.

I do my hair in all sorts of styles. Since I'm too young to get a job, and my mom wont pay, I can't ever go to a beauty salon. But since I have very fine hair, it's not that hard to maintain..

I haf the thickest hair....ugh I hate it. But I just got it cut so its like a little above my shoulders....Well...I wash it. With my Pantene Pro V shampoo...then my Pantene Pro V conditioner....then I let it air dry and if I'm not feeling lazy I straghten it with my straightener...then I put Bed Head After Party in it and then I spray it with Control Freak. Yep.

I have naturally curly hair so it's hard to do anything with it. I use Rusk shampoo and conditioner and Joico styling foam to keep it from getting frizzy. Sometimes I wear it down but usually I put it in a ponytail.

I care a crapload more about my hair than I do about makeup. It's layered and it brushes my shoulders.
I get in the shower and wash it with Pantine Pro-V Smooth and Straight 2-1, Clairol Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Revitalizing shampoo and conditioner, or Clairol Renewlx5 Revitalizing shampoo and conditioner. Those latter 2 brands help my hair stay healthy.
I get out and spray Pantine Pro-V leave in conditioner in it, and then blow dry it. Since my blowdryer is so screwed up and broken, it makes my hair puffy, frizzy and amplified. So then I straighten it.
I use a Conair straighter, and I let it heat up for an hour. It'll be super hot (seeing as the directions say 6 minutes) but I need my hair straight. My hair is naturally a little wavy, so if I got a new blowdryer, it wouldn't be bad and I wouldn't have to straighten it at all, but it's layered and the damn dryer does a number on my hair.
I finish (only when my hair is TOTALLY poker straight) in about 45 minutes, and finish everything with Herbal Essences Styling Spritz. And woo hoo, we're done!

I usually just stick my hair up in a ponytail, stick a few hot rollers in it for a few minutes, take them out, and go ! Its much easier that way ! :D

i care about hair and makeup about the same...but my hair takes more time...
i have reallyreally thick curly hair and i hate it.
i wash it at night because it takes an eternity to dry even w/ a hairdryer...and if i try to dry it quickly it frizzes beyond belief. So i wash it with White Rain Strawberry Essence Shampoo...then use White Rain Strawberry Conditioner and leave it in for 10 minutes or so (usually while i do my nails or remove makeup or something) then rinse it out. While its wet I brush it out straight if im feeling ambitious, otherwise i wrap it in a towel and come online for awhile...lol. Then dry it and brush it out straight as possible.
In the morning- it depends on my mood:
some days I straighten it..*goes to see what kind of straightener* its a Conair. and it takes forever because i hate my hair. then i use White Rain styling stuff to keep it straight.
other days i leave it curly which means i just brush it out and use face toner on the roots to keep it from frizzing weird at the top or looking bad (i learned that on A Makeover Story! lol)
then there are days i dont feel like doing anything and i just put it in a ponytail, curly/frizzy/whatever it is...cause i dont care. (and as chris and ash know, these are the days i get caught on camera singing i will survive...)
agh, anyone want to trade hair?

It's wierd. I've only actually started styling my hair in the past 6 months. Before that I could never be bothered cos I thought "well, noone fancies me anyway, so why make the effort?!" But since I have started making an effort I have gotten quite a few compliments.
It's not like anyone who has complimented me means anything to me - they've all been male - but it's still nice to know that you are noticed.
I kinda wish I'd bothered to make the effort sooner. When I was still at school there were a lot of nice girls who were up for having a good time with other girls. If I'd bothered to make myself look like I hadn't just fallen out of bed then maybe I'd have had a chance with some of them!!!!
I know it's not worth bothering about now but I still beat myself up on a daily basis for not taking my chance with Carmen. I'm not being big-headed, but if she knew me now, I know she wouldn't even think twice about Mandi!!!! :(

I care more about hair than make up.
I'm letting my hair grow long. I have thick, oily hair, I just got it permed so that I can just pick through it and go. It's alot easier to take care of.
Shampoo, I used Fructis in the shower and Dove 2-1 in the other bathroom. I don't really like the styling stuff in my hair, it makes it all stiff and gross.

Well, usually I use a hair dryer to get it flipped in the front...and use gel and hairspray to get it to hold. Other times ill just push it up and back weird or do it a few other ways....yeah it sounds insane but it looks ok. I don't plan on changing it till I go to college

I dont really care much about either of them ... j/k Actually I care more about my hair. I have really thick hair and I hate how its so thick. I just got it highlighted bright red on wednesday and I love the color! I put mousse in it so it wont be so flat, and then I blowdry it.

My hair is WAYYY more important than make-up. It's also a lot harder to deal with, though. It's lightish brown I guess, and a little longer than shoulder length. I just use whatever shampoo and conditioner, as long as its not a cheap, crappy brand. I like to experiment I guess...anything seems fine, there might be a few that make my hair all snarly and ick. It's kinda puffy if I just left it, so I either blowdry and then straighten it (I swear, you do NOT want to see my hair right after I'm done blowdrying) or leave it wet (my hair always turns curly when I get it wet) and then I put mousse er hairspray in it to make it stay. My hair is so incredibly boring though. I need to do something to update it soon cause I am just soo sick of the same thing all the time.

I luv my hair its about 2 1/2 ft long it would be longer but ive only cut my hair 1 time in my life [cept for trimming it] and it was when i was 6 i was playin w/ gak and i made a necklace and when i took it off it got stuck in my hair and i had to cut it
and when i was 11 i had to cut my bangs that were past my shoulders cuz i got a round brush stuck in em so thank god it wasnt the long part of my hair
its blonde and i put bright blonde highlights in it last nite so i can look more different from avril
im also gonna get it layered and curved at the ends of both layers and i also want pink or blue or both streaks in it

I switch shampoos and conditioners every once in awhile. The last kind I used was that Aussie kind. I don't really do anything that special to my hair. Usually it's just down, in a pony tail or a braid.

My hair is a dark brownish blackish color and it used to have these nice reddish brown highlights in it, but they faded a lot and now they're golden blonde. I'm getting them redone this weekend and I think I'll get either light brown highlights or reddish brown again. I have really long, really straight, thick hair. I use Pantene Pro V Shampoo and Pantene Pro V conditioner. After I shampoo and condition it, I put this other conditioner stuff in it so that I don't get split ends, because I've been growing out my hair for the longest time. I let it air dry because blow drying it takes too long and it can damage it. I love long hair so much more than when my hair was short. At the beginning of last year it was about shoulder length and it was really thick and hard to take care of. I used to straighten it every day back then, which made it look better, but it was damaging and stuff so I didn't do it as much. But now that my hair is really long, it straightens by itself and I don't use my straightener that much anymore. I only straighten it if I want my hair to be straighter than it already is. And I brush it all the time and wear it down almost all the time.

Yeah, I'm bumping up an old thread because I like talking about my hair.
My hairs um, much longer now... A bit past my shoulders and I use totally different products now, I still use Finesse sometimes though. I've been using 'Cinnamon Buns' it's shampoo/conditioner/bodywash all in one by philosohpy. I love it, it smells so good! But the price sucks, it's not sold at most stores. I get it at 'Sephora', which is an overpriced beauty store.
http://a1468.g.akamai.net/f/1468/580/1d/pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/70311/300x225.jpg
I still use hot tools professional to straighten my hair except I'll use a serum when I'm done, or some days when I'm not doing anything with it. It helps with split ends and prevents damage, and I need that if I'm going to use hot rollers, straighteners, and everything else I use that burns my hair. I use Citre Shine Anti-Frizz serum, it makes my hair really shiny.
I don't use thermasilk hairspray anymore, it made my hair all sticky and clumpy. Aquanet is so much better! I don't use it much though, when I do my 60's styles it holds those really good. Like the bouffant, that takes forever to do the way I want it, but I like it. :D
I also like doing the flip, the flip and the bouffant, and other vintage styles that suit me. I don't know, I've always been into doing the old fashioned hairstyles. I usually go to websites to figure those ones out.

Well, I have a shag hairstyle (a la Mandy Moore). I love my hair, but I don't want to have to do 1000000000000 things to it. So what I do is use Pert 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner for fine hair and after I'm done with that, I put Bed Head Control Freak serum in my hair. Then I blowdry, using a round hairbrush, drying underneath the hair I pick up with my round hairbrush, to get that flipped look. Then whatever sides I don't get curled, I use a 1 1/2" barrel Conair curling iron, curling outwards (but not too much, I want the flipped look) to make the waves go away. Then, there you have it! :)
Oh yeah, and I use hairspray on it...Just whatever's laying around, as long as it's aerosol. ;)

I have like a lot of hair, not really that its extremely long or anthing, I just have a lot of hair but its naturally really wavy (esp. in the summer!!) Recently I have been wearing my hair jus down, letting it air dry and be wavy, but I sometimes straighten it with my Helen of Troy Straightening Iron, which I like my hair straightened because I have layers and angles so you can tell there
my hair on a cartoon doll, sorta like rachels on friends, how she wears it down, like straightened, but a completely different shade

Anyways, I'll jsut restate this....My hair is super thick and super poofy and I hate it. I have soooo much hair..its so gross. I never wear it down cuz it's...ugh. Anyways, I've got a new system. I have some of that, but I just put like a drop in my hand and smooth it around my hair to keep it from frizzing out and breaking off. I don't wash it out like the bottle says to do. I have blond hair that's in a million different layers and I HATE IT! I'm trying so hard to grow it back out, so basically all I do with it now is flip the ends out and put some wax stuff in it, and then pull the front back with a clip.
