Definitely. Finally (after 8 years suffering under a limp-wristed pres.), we have a president with a backbone. Is sincere in liberating Iraq. Does not drop bombs on a country to divert attention away from a scandal. Has already won the admiration and respect of Afghanistan because that country is now free.

Yes I like President Bush, finaly we have a great president running the country, not a joke like Clinton who thought being president was just a big party, atleast Bush cares about the United States and world issues. President Bush gets my vote in 2004! patriot:

There's not a war every time a Republican is in office, nor was there one while Clinton was president. Before the original Gulf War, the last time the United States entered a war while a Republican was in office was World War II (Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1941).

The United States entered North Korea in 1950, when Democrat Harry S. Truman was president, and the Vietnam War began for the U.S. during the administration of Lyndon B. Johnson (Democrat).

Yes, he won't allow abortion for stem cell transplants, but allows for innocent children to get injured, like that Iraqi girl.

Didn't you read Fleet's post in another thread? There has never been a war in which civilians were never killed. There is no avoiding it. One thing you should know that I read about is that during this war, Iraq has fooled the United States military by putting soldiers in civilian clothes and pulling off surprise attacks. Of course there are going to be civilian casualties because it is very difficult to distinguish who is and who isn't a soldier just by looking at the clothes he is wearing.

That Iraqi girl is only one of many, many thousands who will continue to be murdered if Saddam stays in power.

I'm wondering... if the situation was reversed- Bush won the popular vote and Gore won the electoral vote, and Bush kept demanding for illegal hand recounts, and the U.S. Supreme Court put a stop to it and Gore won, would you say Gore was not elected?
Bush was elected the first time- everyone who voted had their ballot counted (that is, if they followed the rules and didn't vote for two candidates or left "chads" on their ballot). Bush won every recount- even the hand recounts, even though 7 of 9 Supreme Court Justices said their was a problem with the way the hand recounts were being conducted, like using a magnifying glass to inspect chads. What a joke; if you don't remove your chads, your vote should not count. Long before the 2000 election, it said on Los Angeles County ballots- remove any chips (chads) on your ballot before submitting.

yeah i was anti-war, but now im rethinking it b/c of seeing an Iraqi woman's testimonyabout how Saddam Hussein put's them in rape rooms, and how he killed her brother for saying something, and this other woman with her face scratched up realllllly bad, u could hardly see her face because of the chemicals he used, on the BBC. It almost reminds me of Adolf Hitler!

Of course there are going to be civilian casualties because it is very difficult to distinguish who is and who isn't a soldier just by looking at the clothes he is wearing. Let's not pretend that a lot of civilians haven't been and won't be killed in their homes, shops or wherever by our bombs and soldiers. They won't be doing the things you just wrote of. They'll just be trying to survive an onslaught of bombs and gunfire. 'How many will Sadamm have killed' if we didn't come to the rescue is not justification for how many it's exceptible for us to kill.

This war was first sold under the supposed threat of Hussein's WMD's. The evidence for that fell apart and the inspections were stopped even though they were making progress. Then the anti was upped to the al Qeada connection. And no matter what the Bush Administration has said and what the resident teller of tails tells you over and over, the CIA and the FBI, et all, say that there is no evidence of that connection. So now the administration has changed their reason for this invasion to "Iraqi Freedom". So far the Iraqi's are showing no inclination that they want us and Brittain to 'free' them. As much as they don't like Hussein they don't trust us one wit. In '91 we told them to rise up and revolt. When they did the US military was only allowed by our government to stand by and watch them get slaughtered by the very helicopter gun ships that we allowed Hussein to keep.

He is right up there with Hitler and Joseph Stalin. It is estimated that Stalin had 20 million people executed. That is a huge number when compared to the 6 million Jews that Hitler ordered killed. I wonder how many people have been killed by Saddam.

How did Bush cheat? He didn't; he went by the law from the start all the way up to the Supreme Court. It was Gore who tried to cheat by trying to change the rules after an election. Like when the Florida Supreme Court (the majority were Democrats) extending the deadline for no legal reason. Or for those hand recounts. There are only three legal reasons for a hand recount in Florida law- 1. Machine breakdown; 2. Voter Fraud; 3. A natural disaster, such as a hurricane. A hand recount done because Gore did not win is not a legal reason.
