I know US fans of "The Last of The Summer Wine" will be sad to hear that much loved actress Dame Thora Hird,from LOTSW,died today,the 15th of March,after suffering a stroke last weekend.
She had been performing since the age of 6 weeks! and appeared in numerous films,theatre and television shows including award winning performances on "Talking Heads",written by Alan Bennett.
R.I.P. Dame Thora,you'll be missed!

A great actress, she will be a big loss.

I loved it when she guest starred in an episode of dinnerladies. She stole the show.
