WHAT THE ARTICLE SAYS:

Today Columbia TriStar announced the upcoming release of "S.W.A.T. - The Complete First Season". A 3-disc set with an announced running time of 564 minutes, this will definately include all 12 first-season episodes of the hour-long action/drama show. No word on whether or not the 2-hour pilot movie - actually a special episode of "The Rookies" toward the end of that series' third season - will be included. But the running time of the S.W.A.T. season set makes it seem like there isn't enough room for the pilot. We can hope that's a misprint.

Presented in the original 1.33:1 video format and English mono audio format, the list price on this set will be $29.95. With the remake movie starring Samuel L. Jackson as "Hondo" coming out in early August, the original show will be a welcome addition to anyone's library on June 3rd.

Here's a peek of the menu screen, featuring a "Play All" feature - the second time Columbia will include this feature on a TV season set (the Charlie's Angels releases will be the first). You see that the late Robert Ulrich is prominently seen in this picture as Officer Jim Street:

I rented the movie SWAT this past weekend & it was alright. Michelle Rodriguez, Samuel Jackson, Colin Farrell, LL Cool J played their parts well. I liked the scene at the end when they were going after the bad guys when they had landed the airplane on the highway. I thought there was gonna be some love chemistry between Michelle & Colin but they never kissed. They did go out to have a beer. Colin's ex girlfriend in the movie was cute. She had a small part. Anybody know who she is?

Lady T, it's been a few months. Have you watched it yet? How do you like it? I'm able to order an item for free through my Sony credit card and was considering getting this.
