View Full Version : Alan Thicke
Did Alan Thicke sing the theme song to Diff'rent Strokes? I know he wrote it, but did he sing it? If he didn't sing that one, did he sing another?

I think he sang the Last theme song of Different Strokes if I'm correct. I hope I am.

Just an interesting note for everyone. . . Alan Thicke's son is a musician. He is a writer and producer who has written songs for Brandy, Brownstone, Jordan Knight and countless others. His name is Robin Thicke. If you are a fan of R&B music I am sure you have heard something by him even if you don't know it. That's why it's not surprising that Alan Thicke sang the song for the show. And if you aren't familiar with Robin Thicke's music my advice would be to pick up Jordan Knight's debut solo album. What an impressive set. . .

Allan Thicke's son Brennan Thicke did the voice of Dennis the Menace in the Dennic the Menace cartoon tv show.
Alan Thicke never sang the Diff'rent Strokes theme song - he only wrote it. It was sung by an unknown group of singers.
If he did, he certainly would have been credited in the credits as "sung by Alan Thicke".
