If you go to www.lucylibrary.com (http://www.lucylibrary.com) you can go to the 1955-56 years I believe and the Christmas episode is listed as a buy online. It may be 56-57 I can't remember right now.

It's a great episode (Fred trims the tree down so much there's nothing left of the tree). Try Suncoast Video. They have a large supply of "I Love Lucy" tapes.

Amazon.com has a very large selection of I Love Lucy videos including the Christmas one, the lost pilot, the Vitameatavegamin one, the Grape Stomping one, the candy factory, the Trip to Europe episodes edited together as one large movie, and a few others.

Almost all of the I Love Lucy videos at Amazon.com are out of stock unfortunately, you probably would have to get them through Columbia House - http://www.columbiahouse.com or another video outlet.

Trivia tidbit: The Christmas special aired in December '56 and was NOT part of the "I Love Lucy' syndicated package. Desi Arnaz wanted it kept separately because he did not want to see the show rerun in a non-holiday month (e.g. May). By keeping it separate, networks like Nick-at-Nite do not have the broadcasting rights to that episode.

I recorded this episode back in the early 90's when CBS pulled it out and aired it again as a Christmas special. Then they showed it the following year and colorized it leaving the flash backs in black and white to give it sort of a dream feel. I recorded this too. Did anyone else see this. I love it. I have seen it on home video as well.

They showed a colorized version?! Wow, that would have been cool to see! All I have is the regular version.
I also recorded the colorized version, and I have the regular one that is a combination; it has both the I Love Lucy and Honeymooners Christmas specials on it. I don't know right off hand who put it out but I think it may have been Columbia House.

Also unfortunately, The Christmas show does NOT appear in re-runs on tv.
There is an online petition to get I Love Lucy and other Lucille Ball related shows back on VHS & introduced on DVD. You can sign for free at http://www.petitiononline.com/lucyfan/petition.html

I'm surprised that a lot of you haven't seen the Christmas episode!! I didn't know that it's hardly ever shown on tv because I've seen it, and more than once too. All I remember about it is how Fred trimmed the tree down so much that there was hardly anything left! I also remember that Little Ricky got a bike. I wish they would show it again though.
