While this board is here, might as well make some use out of it. Anything about college we can talk about here. Are you in one now? Are you going to be next semester? Do you procrastinate on purpose? :p So feel free to post your thoughts....

I dont even know if i want to go to college, but i know i'm going to have to..I can't stand High School, college will be even worse. If i do go, i want to go somewhere far from NY, which will piss off my parents, well my mom.

damn school. i hate college already.

yes, I'll admite I do procrastinate, but only with my ap history homework. i'm not going to college for another 2 1/2 years. i'll probably go out of state or go to ucsf (university of california of san fransisco) or maybe berkley, i doubt i'd have the grades for it though. some old guy hit on my friend when she went to go check out the college in december, so i'm like "oook..." everone's going to ucla! i hate ucla! i want to go to colombia sooooo ****in badly it's not even funny. it's been my dream college since...4 grade....6 years ago. when i saw growing pains and then i was like "i'm going to colombia to be like carol..." and then i became really interested and i found out they have a really good journalism program there, which is great. i'd have to have like a 4.5 gpa to get in though. i'm interested in northwestern too, in mass. i heard they had a great journalism program too, but it's another tough college. i recently got a bunch of letters from college offering info and cd-roms and all this stuff on their colleges so i sent them back requesting all the info (some of them were postcards from different colleges that came with a sheet of labels, i realized the labels go where the name, address, and everything else goes, so it saves you time. yeah, i figured that out after i had like 2 left, out of 15. i'm so smart sometimes.) so, yeah, i'm thinking about more colleges. not limiting myself to just one. i have to start taking sat prep classes too. i'm taking the sat 2 in june for history. it's on june 6 and the ap world test is may 12 (my b/day, ugh....) so, the college counselor said it would be a really good idea if we took the sat 2 since we'll already be studying for the ap test. wowzas! i've rambled on and on for quite a while.

what about you chris? did you take sat prep classes or anything? how are you feeling about going to college next year?

:D

:D

I never took the SAT and got accepted into college. I slipped through the cracks. :D I just took the ACT, but got a 25 on it, good enough for me. And I didn't take any classes, I just winged it. It doesn't always work becasue I got a 19 the first time, ahhh. lol the third time I got a 25, so yea, I wasted 80 dollars, but it was worth it. :D

25 is good. I got a 26 both times I took it.

Actually it's a lot better than high school. Only go to classes for 2 - 3 hours a day, complete freedom. No rules or boundaries.

Make sure to check what the requirements for acceptance are to each college that you want to apply because that way if they don't need a SAT score to be accepted, you dont need to take it. I would have taken it too if I didn't check my college out.

I know, jut saying that you can save 50 dollars if you anrow down your choices and it turns out you don't need the test. ACT is only $25, but all colleges need that, and there are some that need both.

I'm a senior. Not that it matters much but I am pretty young for a graduating senior. I'm graduating this year at 17, while the other seniors at my school are 18.

Nah, you're not wierd. I'll be 17 too when I graduate in June. I don't turn 18 until August so I'm in the same boat as you!

I'm planning on going to a community college in the fall after I graduate this year, and then staying the first two years for my basics. After that I plan on transferring to a 4 year university. Right now I have no idea what I want to major in, although I am looking more towards nursing right now. I figure what's the point in wasting my parent's money if I'm not sure on what I want to do?

I used to be able to delete my posts even on boards I didn't moderate. For some reasons I haven't been able to delete posts on the boards I moderate, even if it is someone else's. I think TJ disabled this for me because I deleted several threads I started.

I haven't been able to delete anything since December. I last deleted a thread in late December. I posted about an immature kid at school and someone had quoted me. There wasn't any point in editing it so I deleted my post, which in turn deleted the thread.

I think it's annoying that when you want to delete a few posts within the thread, but not them all, you have to go thru all the posts and change the button from yes to no.

Did that make any sense?
